Works 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off I'm led to believe.
Their D-Grade moved like a C-Grade team, pretty slick.

We had a free kick paid against us because one of our players was sheparding the opposition from getting the ball so another one of our players could pick it up but when no one picked the ball up the player providing the shepard picked the ball up and automatically was given a free against. The umpire clearly said you can not pick up the ball if you are sheparding a player. I have never heard of this and would think it goes against all logic but I could be wrong.

Yes, I recall this rule applying at lunch time at Hampstead Primary when I was in Grade 6. Expect the unexpected in Div 7.

A shepherd is a sheep director? I mean a shepherd obstructs the opposition from tackling the protected player from being tackled, meaning possesion of the ball is not available?
If thats a vertical example a horizontal example would be crouching over the ball and not taking possession - holding the ball in that case
