Still in the cut down squad, as far as I know. Wasn't included in the players cut from the squad earlier today. I'd suspect he'll play...

SANFL team biggest weakness will be complacency. The fact out and out SANFL reserve graders (Wise and Vassel) are in the NEAFl squad gives a good indication of the relevant standard of the two teams.

Don't get me wrong some good players in the NEAFL team (Sansbury et al) but the depth will fall away in the bottom 6-10 players and is where the SANFL will have a massive advantage.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I would hardly call Wise a SANFL Reserves grader? He was a league regular for us in 2006 in a very strong North side and would have continued to play league had he not gone home to Qld for family reasons.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Bit surprised to see Williams and Powell cut from the squad, they would be some of the better mids in the side but guess you can't fit them all in....

Guilhaus has gone mad this year to be probably the 2nd best ruck after Parry. I haven't seen him duel with Parry yet but it would be a good battle. He struggled in reserves not long ago so his improvement is huge. If he can improve his around ground work he'll be a pretty good all round ruckman.

SANFL should win and win well, but NEAFL have some decent players. Cameron Dunne has been kicking a lot of goals for NT Thunder and must be stopped and Illett is still in my eyes up there with the best SANFL mids let alone NEAFL ones. Should be a good game though but SANFL to run out strong and with by about 50-60.

SA will win no problems, but it won't be a flogging, and will be an entertaining game of football. I think the NEAFL will be a lot keener to put on a show. From the NEAFL games I have seen compared to the sanfl, the gap in standard isn't as great as some believe.

While it said that Willow and Powelly were omitted, I think it was more a case of players needing a week off to rest their bodies. Williams has looked very sore after most games and Luke will be wanting to make sure his ageing body can last the year with the Eagles.

I am going along to support our state team.

If anyone on here states they couldn't be bothered going, is only a mouth and should be ignored in future.

Do all the gate takings, food & drink sales go to the SANFL, or some to the SANFL & some to West Adelaide?

I would suspect the Bloods will get some form of financial benefit for hosting the game. No idea of what percentage of takings they'd get?
