Div 7 is a pathetic standard, end of story. Anything less than a grand final would be a failure for Ingle Farm with their list. Houghton prob wont drop another game either.

Although it's a long season and all it takes is a few injuries to disrupt a side and its game on. Fingers crossed that no side especially Ingle farm get hit with many or any serious ones

A pathetic standard? It's quite a drop from D6, but you're grossly under-selling the potential of some teams. You blokes have Smithfield at their ground in two weeks and I guarantee you they will be far from pathetic.

We have been smashed by injuries so far and have made it work. Hopefully we have a bit more luck as we move into the guts of the season.

Perhaps I am being bit harsh, but nothing I've seen to make me think different so far.. lool forward to the Smithfield game, I understand it will be a big game for the club and will be up & about so hopefully will be a good hit out..

When I left the club last night he was having a ball Old Fullback. You will see him in the green and white next week. Great pick up for the club!!

just a question for both of you to answer......would you have rather stayed in div 6 now considering how well you are doing in div 7 you seem a 4-5 goal better side at present compared to the rest

Not for me to say!

Gee,wouldn't think anyone at Ingle Farm would be saying we are premiers just yet, finals are a different game and it would be a great achievement by Ingle Farm just to play finals after so many years in the wilderness, each week brings new challenges and a lot of teams go through a season undefeated and lose the one that counts most, plenty of the season left yet.

Talk about arrogance.

PG only stated that it would be a failure given how well they had recruited on top of what they already had, add in going down a Div.
It's not arrogance it's just factual.
Gives the other clubs some sort of purpose to try and knock em off but as PG said it would take some sort of disastrous injury run to even go close to bringing them back to the field.

It's C grade footy mate, that's how you've made it work.
I watch U/16 Red football each week and the best sides in that comp would go close to knocking of Angle Vale on what I saw of them a few weeks back.
If you don't believe me go watch a game next Sunday.

Yeah right.
Could be a good exercise for your club.
Plenty of potential senior footballers there.

If your suggesting an Under 16 team could have knocked off Mitchell Park last year I'd suggest you may need to cut down your drinking :drinkers: :drinkers: The last Div 7 game I saw was the 2012 GF but I see the 16s play a bit and they couldnt realistically compete for more than a quarter with what I have seen
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

Hmm i dont think beeroclock is as deluded as you think.. a 16's side from a strong club like TTG would create some headaches, well drilled, disciplined, fit and generally have a good contingent of players involved at league clubs.

The big issue would be the physicallity of the game.

Don't know if a good 16's would beat the top sides but i think would account for bottom half at least.

Whilst our start to the year has been fantastic for the club, theres still a long way to go. I can assure you that no one is talking premierships, but we are happy with our progress. Houghton are a good side and credit must be given to Burgo, Q and the boys for the work that they have done up there. The final score didnt reflect how close the game was played, but, I think the difference was that we made the most of our opportunities where they didn't. Always good to head up to the country club in the city, have a game of footy, and a cold froffie afterwards.

Think about it Q, what do you think happens to players being bled into seniors at a club that isnt div 7? Where are they going? higher grades.. I know plenty of players over the years who have played juniors then A grade footy in higher grade.

Ingle Farm possibly not greastest example if you look at results, but kids who have started playing seniors and played well in recent times - Tremain (15), Belczacki (15), Homes (16) in div 4, B. Rigney (15), M. Raeger (15), S. Raeger (17), M. Young (15) - div 5, L. Rigney (15), J. Ferguson (17), D. Manning (16) div 6

that works fine when they are worked into a team of fully grown men

Would be a different story when an entire team of kids plays an entire team of men

Some of these kids are built like men and fitter.

I did say the physical aspect would be the difference but be interesting.. perhaps you should wonder out to a high level 16's game soon...
