Saw the last half at the Valley and was a great game, reckon Morphies had the better of it and moved the ball with better structure.

Murph would be the best player in the comp IMO.

And Valleys need to get a new scoreboard dude

Haha. We were just saying " how long before vics brought up morphy parks depth" took you about 15 minutes.. Your negativity towards the club is bordering obsession mate. I know your all about the kids, so the colts playing seniors should be a good thing. .
No doubt the clubs B grade is a concern this year but how good is it for the comp to have some new faces being competitive?

I'm sure you'll say you we're just making that point yourself but we all know you want morphy parks to fail and disappear into the sunset. Keep talking mergers and lack of direction buddy but the people down there know the club and know what there doing and are working their butts off, I'm sure the club will be around for years.

I'm glad to see you have kissed and made up with Cove it's terrible when such positive people as yourself take their bat and ball and go home.

Great round for the comp and despite its obvious problems regarding 2 divs but it's also nice to be positive at times and talk it up when we can. From Heath (friend of Ab) no account but I couldnt read your rubbish anymore. I know this will go in one ear and out the other with you but try and remember how you feel about cove people feel about their own club.

Adelaide Bank is no more swallowed up up by reality. just like MP success at the moment. Swallowed and forgotten

Fact is successful clubs have depth. Having 19 players and 3 juniors doubling up in the 2's at this time of year is not good.

Promotion of juniors is not about flogging them, it is about developing kids not abusing to survive..

Lets take away the bonus player points and see where you may be at??

Great BAR at Morphies, I reckon that's where you spend at lot of time..

I remember 5-6 years ago when Morphettville Park A's won two games and they fielded under 8's through 12's. This year they are fielding teams from under 8's through to 18's with the two senior teams and the A's are going great guns. At a minimum that's developing a club. A maximum, it is saving a club from the threat of extinction. Sure they have a ways to go in developing depth, but at least recognise the effort they have put in otherwise you're just trolling.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Can't help yourself can you OMM. You guys go on about the great family appeal of SFL Saturday game day and the significance of the 5 match day. But why should ours or even your juniors and parents hang around and watch and listen to booze hags sinking piss all day, abusing umpires and opposition players. Yep real family environment. And good to see some of those injured players doing their rehab with a beer in one hand. Not a good look OMM.

Brighton also had some good players out so don't think you were 10 players worse off than us. You guys should be more worried about some of the unshoelike efforts that I saw today.

Understand the Brighton young guns got up over the Shoes, great for the comp.

A draw between morphy parks and happy valley!

Morphy Park must be worried about the depth? I see they only fielded 19 in the 2's with a number of juniors doubling up must be praying for an injury free season to come.

Huge win today. Were way down after the first. Had the character and determination to fight back. Hopefully the fortunes have turned from here on in

Awesome effort being put into Morphy Parks after many years struggling to consistently field juniors. A number of their committee members have worked hard for years on this and need to be commended

Oh you showed up did you DTH ?the rest of your fair weather supporters certainly did not , they would have been treated to a great display by your senior side Heard you dont attend too many games , and that came from your prez during the half time luncheon , had a good chat with him , seems like a real decent bloke , as for piss filled boozehags ? M8 I was less than 10 metres form the interchange bench all day and saw or heard nothing untoward coming from our lot , just couldnt hear your lot at all , suggesting Im having a go for making an observation is drawing one hell of a long bow there >>>EDITED<<< or does this forum bring out the true keyboard warrior in you ? Just might take up your Presidenfs offer of attending you past players function shortly so we can discuss this some more , What do ya reckon ?

Yeah Shoeys decimated with 10 A Graders out through injury , but all credit to Brighton they worked hard for the win , pity no more than 30 or so supporters saw it , floods of people leaving after the completion of each grade is not a good look

The excuses about injuries need to stop, every club has injuries and the depth of that club must cover. I understand the injuries are longer than a week or two OMM so lets not come up with the same excuse next week if the result does not go your way.
Lets hear some facts: IE: The boys did not show up with the correct mindset and were not ready to go.

OMM - if you were 10m from the interchange gate and heard nothing untoward all day then you must have been on a toilet break when in the last quarter one of our 17 yo A Graders was told to 'get back on your boat'.

I believe our President has taken the issue up with your Pres.

Disgraceful.

Seen the last two shoes games and must say they have looked soft and weak.
Not the shoe teams of old, these pathetic pea-heart efforts need to stop for anything to come from this great team on paper.
Goodluck.

Brighton vs Christies- Bombers by 24
Edwardstown vs Noarlunga- Shoes by 26
Flagstaff vs Aldinga- Bushpigs by 40
Hackham vs Cove- Cobras by 90
Lonsdale vs MVP- Roos by 150
Porties vs Marion- Cockledivers by 150 plus
Reynella vs Happy Valley- Vikings by 50
Morphett Vale-BYE

Match of the round status for mine is Brighton and Christies. Bombers off a good win, but still not convincing, Christies putting up great fight week in week out. Ordinarily it would be the top of the table clash between Reynella and Valley, but Reynella have yet to beat a contender and I can see a very angry Valley side ready to make up for last week. I think Valley will do it relatively easy.

Brighton vs Christies- Christies by 6pts........1st time for along time for saints.
Edwardstown vs Noarlunga- Towns by 10pts........Towns going better at this stage.
Flagstaff vs Aldinga- Flaggies by 60 pts.........Harman only every few weeks will hurt Sharks.
Hackham vs Cove- Cobras by 70pts...........Young Hawks will be in it up to half time.
Lonsdale vs MVP- Roos by 140pts............could be a cricket score with good weather.
Porties vs Marion- Porties by 85 pts.............Rams were better against towns but Porties easily.
Reynella vs Happy Valley- Vikings by 30 pts..........cracker game but Vikings too strong, possible GF preview??

I'd have the Roos well ahead of Reynella at this stage, but the Wineflies are certainly a far better team this year than last. Been a bit of a strange year with some patchy form at Porties and Shoes, but I'm sure they'll be around the mark. If I had to tip a GF at this stage it would have to be Happy Valley and Morphettville Park, but depending on how Reynella look against Valley this week, I could be swayed.

Not a lot of talk about this, but if what I heard about an umpire being punched, then that is an absolute disgrace. No less than life suspension for the player will be enough. Would like to know what happened from someone who was there.

I really hoped I would never hear this happen in our league.
