Ultimate treason by a fellow golfer this morning at West Lakes some bright spark failed to check the markings on a ball and played it. By the time I arrived looking for my ball nowhere to be found and the one that I did find all by itself had a distinct personal logo (Initials) in Pink texta.

Cannot fathom if you have such unique markings in a Pink texta surely you would notice it. As a result I threw this one in the water and played a another from my bag. Missed a 6ft putt for what should have been a birdie and tapped in for par. Had to wipe the hole because of this person's incompetence.

Was going alright with 19 points after the first nine and would have got off to a good start on the back nine. Went to shite from there

I have the rare chance of playing Royal Adelaide next Monday.
What are the greens like there?
Any tips from fellow golfers?
I have already been told "Stay on the fairways", but I reckon this is a tip for most courses :D
I dont expect to win anything, especially with my handicap, but you can only ask.

Never played it but from what I have heard it is very long. From driving past it regularly on my way to West Lakes the rough looks very similar to Kooyonga very rough! Fairways and Greens should be immaculate look forward to your report

Moe, fantastic course as you would have found, but it is really a second shot golf course, lots of room off the tee and rough not especially long unless set up for the pros. Very long off the back, but thinking you would have played off the forward tees which makes it a nice length, but still longer than most. Hope you enjoyed the day

Happens everywhere H31 unfortunately. You just have to be fortunate enough to be close to your ball when the numpty comes along. Especially prevalent at West Lakes and my course due to the fairways adjoining each other.

Leave your driver in the bag on the 3rd, enjoy the view from the hill down to the green on 11 (one of the worlds great holes) and don't try to cut the corner on 14. Also don't hit any cars in the carpark.......it WILL be costly. Enjoy

Gladly.
Tubbs and I have been mates for over 20 years. About 6 months ago he joined WWHo where I work & also a member.
Tubbs promptly got his handicap of 24 (burglar), which became 17 in bugger all time after 2 x C grade wins with 64 & 63 nett respectively.
Now, at this stage Tubbs is shooting off the stick mid to low 80's regularly and nominates for the club championships in B grade with some confidence.
A week before qualifying, old Moe has a rare round in the saturday comp (I work too bloody hard  ), and shoots a 102 (78 nett).
Back at my local footy club that night old Tubbsy reckons this is effing hilarious, and lets everyone in earshot know.

A week later as Moe slaves behind the bar at WWHo, he wonders how his old buddy Tubbs is fairing.
Tubbs enters the building a little deflated, orders a pint and lokos me in the eye, shakes his head and says 103!!!

Cue Moe: Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.!!!!!! Tubbs then informs me I should pour a jug too, as he had a fanny on the 1st...... THE 1st!!!
GOLD.

Dead last after first round qualifying.
Tubbs did manage an 88 the next week, but fell a tad short. Sorry old pal, but this story needs telling.
Who needs enemies hey?

Used a new golf app for the first time, gives you GPS data for each hole and record your round. Scorecard below.

Shot an 87 which was OK considering first hit for 3 months, as you can see got the driver going OK in the back 9 and that made a difference, putting was pretty good, irons let me down, not hitting enough greens.

Off to McCracken next Friday, looking forward to getting back down there after being a founding member.
