Congratulations to both.

Grant Hawksworth - 200 consecutive games for Ingle Farm...outstanding effort. He played in the A5 premiership in 2005, but more importantly he stuck with the club through some very lean times since. A great player and an even better bloke.

Given that he is nearer to 50 than 40 and is "only" notching up 200, where did he play before IF?

Congratulations to both as well. Should make for an awesome occasion.
I like the Hawk, he's a great kid & still without any grey hair!

Not sure if the crowd will be as bumper as RS's predictions, but I think it'll pull a slightly larger following than usual. Not much rain predicted for Saturday at least.
I'm also excited to get out under lights for the first time in years. (It'll be good to be able to avoid the harmful uv rays :D )

Played a little bit as a teenager, but then didn't play until his 30s.......family commitments I believe. Probably why he is so well preserved.

Pull ya head in Q !!!! You know this isnt the truth. None of us at the Farmers are taking Smithfield for granted believe me. We marked this game very early on as one of our biggest contests for the year and expect a really tough game. Smithfield have a big occasion for Stewie and if we were as arrogant as everyone says that we are, we wouldnt have agreed to change the time of the game to fit in to their celebrations. We DO expect a tough encounter and by no means expect this one to be far from easy.....case closed.

Mr Q..

My comments in regards to the standard are my personal views alone and are not indicative to the those others involved at the club, it is in no way aimed to disparage the clubs or players involved in the competition nor to say I think Ingle Farm are superior than everyone else.

I'm also not eluding to the fact there will be close games, upsets, fantastic battles etc.

I'm merely stating that the general overall standard of the competition as a whole is pathetic and i stand by that claim, and as you would expect it would be considering it is largely made up of C grade sides. Considering Ingle Farm compete in this division, I therefore view them as part of this standard and competition, not as some seperate almighty entity!

I would hate to see how some of the struggling sides like Broadview would go if they had a large number of injuries to their C grade and had to play some of their D grade players in the higher grade, I think we would see cricket scores!
