I doubt you ever will, even if it's laid out in pictures.
I do understand the argument here. But if this does happen it's more then likely going to be 6 games of the year where 8 sanfl sides have to play the crows and power. So you take away those games and what about the rest. Does it mean because the crows and power are in the comp no one will turn up to a centrals eagle game or a west norwood game? Does it mean when 2 sides are playing in a grandfinal whether it be against the afl sides or sanfl sides you wouldn't go and support your team? Does it mean North supporters won't go to the game on sunday because Aaron young is playing for the magpies?
Fk me dead. No you don't get it. You are incapable of getting it.
Do you know what 'compromised' means? forget about who plays who and the impact at club level. Think about it at a competition level.
What will happen at competition level? No one can be 100% sure what is going to happen. But just for argument sakes if your assumption of what is going happen does, what impact will that have on the competition level when the 8 teams aren't playing the AFL teams? Wouldn't you think the crows and power want their players in the reserve side playing their best footy? don't you think when that reserve side walks on to that oval the only thing on their mind is about play their best game and winning?
Your still not getting it.
Its not just as simple as going ok next year the Crows/Power are playing in the league competition and everything stays the same except there is an extra game
That means it will be a 10 team comp, 2 of which wont have SANFL reserves sides, so at some point your reserves are going to have to play away from their league side. Also its well known the SANFL players who are only part time footballers enjoy the bye break giving them chances to go back and see family etc etc
Also are we going to move the SANFL season time frame around. Remembering as it stands the SANFL season goes a week later than the AFL season, eg, if the Crows AFL side failed to make the finals and the Crows reserve side made it to the SANFL final are they going to allow the extra players to play over a month longer than the rest of the list.
They are going to need somewhere around 10-15 top up players, where do these come from, are the SANFL clubs expected to give players up there.
Where are the Crows reserves going to play.
Throw in the fact there is all this to consider and the only benefit which is according to kickinit is that we wont have the hassle of having to make 1-2 changes a week which in actual fact the clubs really enjoy.
i could go on and on with other things that would have to change.
