Under the SANFL zoning system each clubs country zone is of high importance to the
success of the club. The West Adelaide Zone covers the Mid Murray, Riverland and
Mallee areas and has been a rich source of footballing talent over many years.
We currently have over 30 players within our system from Under 17 to League football
form the Riverland, the opportunity to take games to the region is a reward for the
commitment and passion of the Riverland region for SANFL football.
Players such as Bradyn Fisher, Luke Mensforth, Ben Fisher, Daniel Proud, Matthew
Lutze and Ryan Bennett have all played, or will soon play league football after
commencing their football in the Riverland. The Under 17 team that will play before the
league match will have 15 or more players from our country zone.
The West Adelaide Football Club appreciate the great work of the clubs and leagues
that make up our country zone and playing a match for premiership points is just one
way that he aim to support football in the region.

ha ha ha - funny.

In my defence, I will say it was a cut and paste job for me. lol

At first I thought it was an obscure reference to Grantley Fielke (who's tossing the coin).

It does give a new definition to 'cold, hard cash' doesn't it?

Will the Crows pull off the marketing coup of the decade and play RICIUTTO (ex Riverlander) for West on Saturday for one game in the SANFL?

The public pressure's mounting:

Murray Pioneer, Tuesday, May 28

Play 'Roo in Berri
IT WOULD be very fitting for Crows skipper Mark Ricciuto to make his comeback to football via his original club West Adelaide against Central Districts next Saturday.
Furthermore the two clubs play at Berri in the Riverland where Ricciuto's football career started from.
