Do Christies Beach ever win a fight when the numbers are even?

Something positive:
Another enjoyable Under 8 game last weekend, this time at Cove.
Thanks to young Dion, the coach of Cove. It was great to see all the kids have a crack, have some fun & thanks for loaning us 2 youngsters every 1/4 to give all the kids a full game.
The umpire we have had the past 2 weeks has been fantastic as well, in fact all the umps have been good this season.
Cove's BBQ: Excellent value.

We had Cove also on the weekend at home, they have some good people in charge of their kids now. Makes the whole morning a pleasant experience when everyone is on the same page.

All games played in good spirits at Flaggies with supporters applauding the efforts of players from both teams. A thoroughly enjoyable morning!!

What ever happened to what happens on the field stays on the field? I'm sure there are 2 sides to the story though, but if this keeps going it has the potential to really boil over.
I truly hope when these things happen, that people think of Sam Davis and what happened to him from one ill conceived punch and tell some of these people to pull their heads in.

Hey Beachy, we had plenty of our lads attend a past players 30th a couple of weeks back and it still didn't prevent a heap of them heading to Red Square afterwards (without punching on I might add). Tanner's 200th is hardly an alibi when many blokes kick on until at least 5am.

Good lads those Brighton boys. It would appear the punching or threatening too is the action of a particular junior coache at Brighton.

I would assume that if this occured then the Brighton coach would be facing the SFL tribunal tonight then?

I would assume that if this occured then the Brighton coach would be facing the SFL tribunal tonight then?

Not like that would matter anyway..
last year a Brighton water-boy (who was also a club official) went to the tribunal for getting in a physical altercation with an opposition player. SFL found him Guilty, yet handed out no penalty to the Individual or the Club.. sets a great example!

It was only some words aimed at a lad who's actions on Saturday should have led to a Report rather than the Yellow Card he did receive. Yes not warranted for a coach to verbal an oppostion player in an Under 16 game however if that players coach and club turns a blind eye to what that lad does every week then its not hard for emotions to get the better of you.

No agenda DTH, hard not to notice Brighton have been involved in a couple of incidents this year which you play down. Umpire gets whacked. Coach threatens junior player. Very unsocial behavior by the latte boys.

Just a little concerned at the attitude of the SFL. Last year in the 18 grand final the was a bit of a scuffle by the two teams and both clubs got whacked with reasonably severe penalties. SFL took no responsibility for that one when it was their security not the clubs on the day. Told clubs bad look for the SFL, reckon the 2 incidents involving BDOS are about the same, umpire incident, accident or not happened during a melee which the SFL have said is will not be tolerated.. Seem to have 2 sets of rules.. Maybe they are being nice to you guys as they are worried you are going to nick off to the SAAFL?

Just on the 18 GF last year. The SFL take full responsibility on GF day for security, yet when it goes pear shape they blame the clubs who have no involvement and are not allowed to have any involvement at all in crowd control. Just for your information at the end of the game there were supporters from just about every club in the league on the ground even a few brighton jumpers.

Just like to see footy played by the rules. If any coach threatens a child he/she should get rubbed out for at least a year, I doubt if the coach would get a working with kids clearance again. Be strong DTH step up to the plate and take action it will reflect well on the club. Brighton will be seen as leaders in stamping out unsociable behaviour.
