What you just wrote makes no sense and it doesn't answer my question:

What punishment do you believe would be appropriate for a Club President who involved themselves in a violent, physical altercation with an opposition supporter during a Sunday Juniors Grand Final?

I have no beef with you and wouldn't know you if you stood up in my soup but I would suggest you stop using this forum as a medium for executing personal vendettas.

I'd like to do my tips to break up the conversation, however, no such luck this weekend. I can only tip the one game, so I"ll go with the SFL for no reason other than parochialism. :)

Hey Vics, I think MZ is turned on by our lovers tiff and wants to join us in a threesome. Sorry MZ, three's a crowd.

Lets move on and worry about bigger issues than a bit of biff and verbal in an Under 16 game. The vagaries of the fixture means the Brighton and Reynella Under 16s play again next week so I hope everyone just plays the ball and not the man and we all just get on with the footy.

Onto the SFL Barbarians. Well done to the lads who were keen to play and try and get some pride back after last year. But I'm very interested in the lack of players from the reigning premiers and favourites again in 2013. 12 invitees and only 3 in the team. Did some have some nasty acci-DENT'S this week. Or maybe AFC9798 has taken them all on his "bandwagon" to his shack this weekend. And before anyone has a crack at no Brighton representation. We had 1 player invited out and he didn't make the final cut.

Not going to my shack as i'll be at the game. It's good that Pearce and Ruddock get their chance, both good young guns and Tom McNamara has been a great acquisition and is playing great footy.
All three should contribute strongly. Can't answer about selection policy or injuries, as not privy to that information.

Nice try but no bite.

Fair few Viking injuries at the moment but before you all have a crack at excuses most of these guys went out to association training but didnt get past the medical rooms. Better than some blokes that said they were injured and just didnt show up at all. Hope the SFL keeps a close eye on this

Cant believe Matty Sukkle didnt get picked but

You get a bonus 3 weekend holiday rather than 1!

so let me work out this logic. At the start of the season I book a trip to bali for say 8 days and your away for that weekend, then the first half of the season my form is sensational. then you get selected to try out for the association side but you say "nah im of to bali can't play". Then the league say enjoy an extra 2 weeks off!... Surely i'm not the only one who thinks this is ridiculous???

All players know which weekend the game is, so they know not to book a holiday at that time. It's footy season, plenty of other weekends to go away. Not that big a deal. Alternatively, you plan to be 'injured' around that time. Used to happen with State of Origin.

Just wondering if you've still got Brighton football club for sale

Nope been bought apparently.. Must be all the money the bombers are saving this year by playing kids they could afford to buy it again..

I did find this on the site though "Remember children play sport for their enjoyment, not yours."

Encourage children to participate, do not force participation upon them.

Never ridicule or yell at children f
Remember children learn best by example applaud the efforts of all players in both
teams.
Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
Show appreciation of volunteer coaches, officials and administrators ± without whom your
child could not participate.

Maybe DTH should make sure coaches read this

Perhaps the s.f.l and g.s.f.l. should read this especially

June long weekend is the only weekend to go away during footy season... Dead set joke!!!

Without intentionally sounding like a smartass another indicator there are issues in structure of the SFL is that the GSFL are handing your arse to you on a plate in the Lovelock every year. 15 years ago it was on par as the 2nd best comp in SA behind Div 1 SAAFL. Now it would be lucky to be probably 5-7th best behind GSFL,Hills, Western Border and SAAFL div 1 and 2 and probably Barossa Light.

Was far from the best SFL team on the park today. Don't know enough about GSFL team to comment on the strength of their team today.
