Does anyone know when's the last time a 5'6" player took the field in the SANFL?

We just seem to be sitting around and accepting losses. No show of emotion by players or coaching staff !

Stribling and Eddy dropped before the game....reason why anyone?? Apparently they missed Monday mornings recovery session along with McDonald who was named in the two's.

One positive was it was great to see Caleb Daniel a 16 year old set the standard and show up a heap of senior players who seemed to not really give a stuff today!!

Well done Caleb and you have a great future ahead of you mate :)

Agree with Prowling Panther....we wont win another game from here and it was embarrassing to present that BRAND of SANFL Football being televised around the country. Bloody awful to watch that!!!

Decent, albeit very scrappy, effort for nearly two quarters, before we barely gave a yelp after half time. The final 5 minutes of the 1st half were telling, and robbed us of any momentum at half time, and after the interval our pressure dropped away and our ball use became diabolical.

Trying to find some positives, so....Caleb Daniel showed a bit in his first outing, and the passage of play that Aerie mentioned was a rare highlight today. Hartigan again gave every South supporter's favourite opposition player a bath, his only kick coming thanks to a generou$ holding the man decision. Brooksby continued his good form, and if all the players displayed the passion this bloke does we'd be in a much better place. Liddle the pick of the mids.

Shockingly small crowd, but sadly not unexpected.

A win looks a while off. :?

Whoever wrote the article in the Sunday mail praising how good the game was must be blind!
Eagles fans shouldn't get carried away because we are so inept it's not funny.
Apart from the usual suspects like Liddle, Cross, Hartigan and the improving Brooksby there was precious little to get excited about( the debut of Caleb Daniel was very good).
What on earth has happened to our current captain and last years captain? They are playing the worst I have ever seen them play!!
I seriously doubt Ron Fuller will be coaching us next year. Not saying his not a good coach, he just seems to have lost the playing group looking through my eyes.

What I found bizarre was Fullers comments .....just the stock standard lines and not a mention of how poor we actually were.

The team played terribly and it should not be accepted by the SAFC !

I'd like to say that the Eagles were good but they were only average against a team that has no obvious desire to play for or respond to it's coach.
I think for the most part the players put in, but look at times frustrated and in a rut with their coaches game style.
If South don't get super competitive for the last half of the season, Fuller's got no right to expect to dodge the axe and can only blame himself.
No Board could excuse too much more of that for it's loyal members!
As for the Eagles, we need to put the sprinklers on Woodville Oval every Friday night before the rest of our home games just so we can break even and drag down the opposition's midfielders in the slop.

Is that the game style that won you a flag and countless finals? Coach has runs on the board ... The players don't. Suggest we look at sacking a few of them.
