Many are going for Port ahead of the Eagles re making the five. Makes Sunday's clash very important; could be the turning point of both the clubs' seasons...

Correct. I still think Central are a good chance at the top 3. Eagles are outsiders for it; we play twice at Richmond and you never know...

It will indeed. Magpies off two good tough close wins and the Eagles off the bye makes for an interesting game on Sunday. Really looking forward to this one.

North, and more recently Port, have been the surprises over my pre-season predictions. Thought North would drop off with their losses, but to theirs and Francous credit have remained strong.
Glenelg and South are the big fallers from my predictions, which has bumped the Eagles up slightly higher than I thought.
Still think West have the best squad, depends on their gameplan IMO.

My predictions, with pre-season ones in brackets:
West (premiers) (2)
North (R/up) (6)
Norwood (1)
Centrals (5)
Eagles (7)

Sturt (8)
Port (9)
Glenelg (3)
South (4)

Given the distance behind that Centrals is now, playing Norwood twice and West twice between now and the season's end could be a blessing in disguise to give Centrals a crack at the top 3. There's no ground gained in flogging Glenelg or South because you know that the top 3 is likely to do the same when they play them. Whereas playing top 3 sides is a 4-point game on the league table—if Centrals can beat Norwood twice or West twice from here, they're some chance of replacing them.

If the Eagles are in a position to make a run for the top 3 by the end of July, they'll really have earned it— tough month coming up with Port, North, West, Centrals, followed by 3 easier games.

Amazing that we're even talking about Port making the top 3, but on form, you couldn't ignore them. Virtual final this weekend for their chances, though—with poor percentage they'll be coming from too far back in the pack if the Eagles beat them.

You'll probably get rolled by Sturt or Glenelg during the run home. ;)

My only predication or hope is North keep the double chance and Port Magpies don't make the 5 so it will give an even bigger reason to dance on their grave!
