Abbott has plenty of "policy's" he's already announced. Carbon tax, NBN, illegal boats are some of the major things he's already made announcements regarding. Coupled with getting the economy back to a healthy bottom line I don't need to see much else but there is a lot more out there if you'll look.

Lol. The old chestnut Labor fans bring up when they have nothing else. Most of work choices got reinstated under Gillard bit by bit because the vast majority was good. The few aspects that were particularly unpopular will not be touched by the Liberals for some time, whether they like them or not. The landscape is different now too with many industries not trying to find workers but instead more likely to reduce their workforce. But keep trying, I'm sure there are one or two other Labor die hards around that still believe.

Mate even if it's only 10 seats It will give him a working majority of 20 and as Eddie Ward once said doesn't matter if it's one, five or 20 votes when you win - when quizzed once when he won a narrow vote in politics. Not sure if that is the correct quote but it is stated correctly in the following tome Curtain to Hawke - Fred Daly.

The most significant thing of alst night is that it probably means the Coalition won't get majority control of the Senate, which even as a Liberal voter I think is a good thing. Protects them from themselves.

the boats will never be stopped under whoever runs the country, end of story. People who want a better lifestyle will always come , well try to come here. It will never be stopped.

Also, without at least a tourist visa, you won't be able to board plane to destination country.

I'm fairly sure he's said he'll bring back all the Howard era policies. Whether people like it or not, those policies stopped the boats. Reputation will also make a difference. This is one issue I'm confident Abbott will be able to remedy fairly quickly. I seem to remember many news stories about boats in our waters during John Howard's time.
You ain't gonna stop the boats, so stop using the slogan to stir up hysteria among WASPs scared of their country being overtaken.
