The last 10 years would've been a lot more interesting for the restivus ;)

If all the money that has been poured into Port Adelaide was poured into Woodville, would Woodville still be in (continuous) debt or would they be more competitive and successful than before the merger?

Was Woodville in debt? I thought Torrens was the poor half.

I need to know how to turn down a mate's offer of setting up his buck's show without hurting his feelings.

The reason I want to refuse is because I'm a traditionalist in the sense that it should be the best man's job to do that. As far as I know, I'm not even a groomsman, nor did I receive an invite to his wedding in the mail.

You should tell him your not going as your not invited to his wedding.

Cheers mate. I just didn't want to come across as a dick, hence why I asked.

Even if I was invited to the wedding, I'm not sure I'd go. His missus gives me the shits.

Being asked by the groom is weird.

Being asked by the Best Man to help because he thinks you would be good at it is different.

Exactly. The groom and I used to get on the turps together quite a bit, so I think he thinks I know how to go about it. He's asked me to go to the wedding via text, whereas everyone else I know has received invites in the mail. Am I supposed to feel a little snubbed by this? It feels like I haven't been invited at all, and was merely just an afterthought.

Asked you to the wedding - or wedding + reception.

Big difference

In that case it's a token gesture, especially being asked to do the bucks show.

That's what I thought. I guess we're not as close as what I thought we were.

Oh well, I wasn't keen on going to the wedding anyway. I can't stand his missus, and I don't usually like being around big groups of people for long periods of time.

For him. Thank him for the wedding invite via text, no reception invite. ;)
