Not a election post but qld pollies are apparently entitled to a $57,000 pay rise. Anna Bligh put a freeze on their wages when she was in power and by law they are èntitled to it.

But Rudd refuses to admit he is "responsible" for the deaths.

His apology to the deaths re insulation is as hollow as he is. Garrett warned him about it multiple times!!!!

Will the government compensate the victims families?

Ugh, did you not read Gozu's link?

There were less fires per installation after the introduction of the scheme, compared to previous years. They weren't anymore responsible for the deaths than they were previously.
