I didn't think our rucks were smashed last week at all. In fact, I thought our ruckmen had more influence on the game than Wakelin and O'Hara. I realise we don't get many hitouts, but MacKenzie is the master at blocking and the opposition ruckmen's hitouts are usually ineffective while Giles and MacKenzie are among the more active ruckmen when the ball is in general play. Perhaps one day a ruckman will get a lot of hitouts to their teammates and we'll lose a game because of it, but the games we'll win because of the work our ruckmen do will more than make up for it. I think this also highlights how we're able to play to our strengths better than other teams. Anyway, I think Central will easily account for West to continue West's 56 year old Berri losing streak.

West Reserves got smashed last night in the rain,
Dogs 10 - 11 - 71
West 0 - 1 - 1

Wet weather footy usually brings teams closer together, I would hate to think of the score if this was in the dry!

PS - not trouble reported in the 100 strong crowd

Was the solitary point rushed through by a doggies player?

Something wrong in all sectors of the bloods at the moment. Win/loss ratio in all grades, is it the lowest ever?

BTW, Centrals 20.6.126 d West 5.8.38.

Ahhhhhhh - enjoyable to see the Dogs win on MY home turf.

Great initiative by Westies to bring up SANFL footy to the Riverland. I would've been there even if my team weren't playing.

A big thanks.

Well done to those who travelled up too.
