globe derby saturday 2/6/2007

it looks a night of short but sweet with an allup the best way to make a decent profit,

r1 1 on top it should win but with him on it dont take it if its odds on i have it 11/8 from 2,3,4,7,9
r2 7 will win again (rated 4/11) 5,8 the main place chances with next best 1,4
r3 1 an e/w or place special from 2,3,4,8
r4 chances 1,3,8,9,10 with 9,10 best two note 9 not a moral in this (rated 6/4)
r5 chances 5,6,8
r6 chances 4,5,6,9 i'd be on 5 e/w if we can get 3/1 or better
r7 chances 2,4,5,6,7 with 2 on top
r8 well 1 will lead & win (rated 1/15) main multi hopes are 2,3,4 with next best 6,9
r9 chances 2,6,7,8 i think 6 is a great place bet but it rarely wins so if you back it back it only for a place, it is a safe conveyance & just plodds
r10 chances 3,4,5,6,8 in a raffle the 6 is the best horse but draw is dead set againt it

suggested bet(s)
allup
r2 no 7 win
r3 no 1 place
r8 no 1 win
r9 no 6 place

betfair lay
r1 no 1 i think it'll win but if odds on worth risking
r4 no 9 obviously it'll go close but again if odds on worth risking

good luck on the punt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Im gunna crack a fat the MALpets are both running

R2-7 The JuggerMALnaut is going for about 10 in a row
R4-9 Urjokin going for 9 in a row

THE JUGGERmalNAUT I reckon will be at short odds and wins

URAJOKIN has just about reached its mark in the gradings looks
a safe bet for a place, but if its long long odds on MIGHT be a risk
G will be licking his lips if its $1-40 or below on Betfair.

R8-1 SAVED A CORKA rated $1-10 simply cant lose this barrier and this field
If G gets $1-30 or better on Betfair he should be arrested for stealing money

HIGHLIGHTS AND CHATTER
----------------------------

Looks a real smorgasboard tonite at headquarters
THE JUGGERNAUT going for 8 wins in a row
URJOKIN going for 9 wins in a row
Both horses are Malpets and both just keep winning for LATE MAL followers

R5-2 COGLEN please take note has changed stables from Webster to Pascoe
Word is St. Boof[Webster] sacked the horse after 1 run ???????????????????

MINI PREVIEW
-------------

R1-1 END OF THE RAINBOW [$3-80]
Is going to lead or at worst 3rd on the pegs
If holds out [3] will be hard to beat
Wayne Butterworth drove it poorly last run, but this is an armchairr drive tonight
EW

R2-7 THE JUGGERmalNAUT[$1-80]
What can I say that I have not said about this claiming champ
If we get the $1-80 lets charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge
The last time it got beaten it was the BAYMANpet[5] NUTFIELD who beat him

R3-1 PICATIME [$4-50]
This BAYMANpet is immaculately drawn to either lead or sprint lane
EW or PLACE*

R4-9 URJOKIN [$3]
Just about reached its grade and the run will end soon
I thought it would be odds on and representing no value
But if its about $3 looks a safe EW bet, but will not be
The champ is running hot, but no good thing.

R6-6 BILLYBOY[$3]
Reliable consistent trotter, runs plenty of placings and due for a win
EW or look at EXOTICS betting
2nd fav WRECKOGNISE must be a risk from 50m

R8-1 SAVED A CORKA [$1-40]
Has an exhillerating turn of speed from the gates
Leads and wins and the $1-40 would be a gift
WIN

LATE MAL
---------

R1-1 PLACE
R2-7 WIN
R3-1 PLACE
R4-9 PLACE
R6-6 PLACE
R8-1 WIN

Bayman and I are similar tonight and we all know what that means....get on...!
good luck

What about the total matched pool on Betfair for Globe Derby race 6 = $251. I've never seen a race with such little interest

LATE MAL RESULTS
------------------
4 of the 6 selections actually won the races
I was weak and tipped some place only

R1-1 PLACE $1-50
R2-7 WIN ..LOSE thanks to a blantantly disgraceful drive on THE CURATOR
R3-1 PLACE $1-80
R4-9 PLACE $1-30
R6-6 PLACE $1-40
R8-1 WIN....$1-10 thats the real MAL odds !!!

5 collects so a very good night tipping
Pity they all paid much less than the paper odds
So some may have been to short to punt on

BRICKBAT OF THE NIGHT

Scott FORBY on CLANSMAN sat in the death and when THE JUGGERmalNAUT
came 3 wide looking for the death seat FORBY kicks up for 500m to keep
the favourite 3 wide
THE JUGGERmalNAUT ran 3rd last
CLANSMAN ran 2nd last

If FORBY takes a a comfortable trial they both would have finished closer

Both THE JUG and URJOKIN lost
I thought URAJOKIN at $1-60 a win was way too short

Number 3 was CURATOR driven by FORBY
CLANSMAN was number 4
Sorry for the confusion
Whichever one was in the death seat was the culprit

SCD was just sitting back and watching tonight.. wouldn't have tipped many anyway - thought it was a tough night...
must admit though - at $1.60 I left Urjokin out of the quaddie!! (No value at all)
I'm doing my monday form at the moment - i'll have something up for it either tonight or sometime tomorrow..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

a few 'interesting drives' (poor) drives tonight

with clansman i overheard shaun adams in the downstairs bar tonight saying that he shouldn't & wont bend over & just give races to harding or anyone else for that matter & a women replied thats why we put you on (i have no idea who she is) personally while he stuffed up the malganaut & my trebles & allups it is still a bad drive because HE DID NOT GIVE HIS HORSE THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO WIN OR BE PLACED

wayne hills drive on tennilles a classic was ordinary to say the least, at the start he was 98% in the 1 by 1 & yelling from behind BLUFFED him to swing out & go further back in the field costing him a real winning chance, it went well running home from a long way back i'm not sure whether it would have won but it definately would have gone close

also at albion park (talking through my pocket) in race 5 i backed no 1 place, it got headed at the start & that leader handed up leaving my horse 3 back on pegs (not his fault) but coming to the home turn he was getting through & had the choice of waiting for the sprint lane or coming to the outside on the home turn, which he did, he then had 2nd thoughts & tried to go back to the sprint lane but a horse had taken its spot so he was now left on the back of the winner with nowhere to go, he had to make a choice of which way to go & he did but changing his mind cost him a huge winning chance & it definately cost him running a place & that driver was darrell graham

shame shame shame but thats the way it goes, it is just another point to suit my arguement of having professional drivers

Hello fellow punters i have to agree with all of those 'Bonehead Drives' but the worst drive nearly EVER at globe derby was produced last night Matthew Smith on Lets Go Frankie WHAT WAS HE DOING!!! I think the ambulance must have flushed him out or something, again these spastics still see an imaginary winning post at the 400!! Why aren't the stewards stepping in and making a precident of this, send him back to the trials or pony trots because the kid is looking to be in the M. AURORA LEAGUE!!!!! =D> =D> =D> =D>
