No mention that a combined Outbacks/Strikers team will be playing in the t20 comp.

Also on a side note, what boring uniforms.

Looks like there may be a few more than 2 days of cricket missed by the lads playing PL.
Looking at the program, even with the later start to the Grade season, it looks like they would miss:
12th Oct (and 13th Oct if season starts with Sat/Sun like usual)
7th Dec (unless there is no cricket played for the Test Match)
14th - 15th Dec
4th - 5th Jan
8th & 15th Feb
I could be wrong but that could be up to a 1/4 or 1/3 of a season, possibly more for bowlers with workload issues etc....

Dont think Grade cricket starts till Oct 19, the weekend of Oct 12/13 is only 20/20 matches.

Also dont start back till Jan 11, so not affected by Jan 4/5 game either.

Makes it only 2 or 3 games affected, pretty fair result you would say.

Fair enough if the program is going to be like that for Grade Cricket. But how are they going to fit a full season of GC (plus WE Cup) in with 2-3 less weekends available to play on than usual? More one-day or Sat/Sun fixtures?

Has to have more Sat/Sun or 1 day fixtures to fit the fixture in before April. Can't believe that they want to start on the 19th. Think that date is when Turf 2 day fixtures begin.

Going by the past few years my guess is that all grades will begin on the 11th. Will be having those PL clashes unfortunately otherwise it just doesn't fit in before April. :?

did a quick look - 2 days that clash with 2day games (one is a one dayer but in the normal comp), 2x 1 day clashes and 1x 20/20 clash

In the grade competition are they going to do any of those one dayers that count for both the one day and the two day competition?

I thought those were great. Very intense battles as there was double the prize on offer for a win. High stakes. Less Sundays too.

Apparently they got rid of them because the coaches thought losing was too big a penalty

We don't like handling pressure in SA

Yeah tall quick, pushes them through well and his height obviously gives him that awkward bounce, still only 16. Has come along way in the past couple of seasons, still needs to put some strength and muscle on his body though, he seems to continue to get little niggling injuries.

Doesn't know which end of the bat to hold though

Perfect fast bowler!

He's at Adelaide? Should get some A Grade opportunities as they're pretty young at the moment. Big transition phase still going after all their guns have slowly disappeared into retirement.

Why would I be bitter?

there is only 1 player left from our last Grand Final side

Some of those replacements groomed to take over have even left due to other issues.

Good crop of youngsters coming through with 2 of those Australian under age reps so we need to build a side around them....

Na we have trials v Port Adelaide this Saturday. Otherwise I may have popped in to see what all the 'hype' is about. We have 6 or so playing for the Egde I think, not sure of the sides.
