What a great result for the Crabs. Beating Parks at home is no mean feat at the best of times. GO YOU CRABS. :supz:

Well done to Ingle Farm today, it should be a good contest next week v Henley. On a side note, a lot of Div 7 games in the BP's. Naylor, McArlein, Hartwell. 28 A grade games this year between them. Some of the comments on here a few weeks back seem a bit hypocritical now perhaps?.......no issue with whatever team you want to put on the park, it just made me laugh. ;)

Think you will find Naylor in particular is coming back from injury - played in the C grade the week before, same with Jones - it was really important from a club perspective that we got game time into these lads leading into next weeks A grade clash. Hartwell and McArlein have been up and down all year i'm fairly sure.

MASSIVE result for the Crabs! Well done, I never would've picked it, proved me wrong!

Good luck next week, they play Houghton at the right time and couldn't ask for a better match up I would've thought!

Yeah, a bit of experience there no doubt, but when those players are secondary to those in the A Grade side, it does augur well for the next few weeks.

Make no mistake, what Ingle Farm presented today is our genuine B Grade side for the finals campaign. Furthermore, we are up for ANY challenge that gets thrown at us. Anyone wants to bring it on, we'll accept it. One ex AFL player sandbagging and got caught out (supposedly hamstring, but in truth, absolutely smashed, softcock), we look forward to the next one.

Don't know if calling someone a sand bagger is really a dig @ a bloke personally. Probably feeding their ego more being a big fish.....

Well I spoke to a few of your lads after the game and they were good blokes and rather humble. Obviously you weren't one of them.

Wow the 6th place side knocked off the 4th place side and did it at the 4th place home ground. What was flinders park oval like?

Well done to Uni and Farm on winning there finals.
Also well done to The owls b grade first time in clubs history to make finals and played well to beat the crabs.

A grade game between Houghton and The Owls was a tuff hard fought final. The owls played way below par in the first half but after having a rocket stuck up them up halftime came out and played good footy to kick away and win by a good margin.

Tuff game for Houghton next week as they have now lost three in a row and have to face another side that beat them 2 weeks ago, but they will have home ground as a advantage.

Had a chuckle on the weekend. It had been so long since Flinders Uni had played a final that they had forgotten they were allowed a fourth player on the bench.

Definitely happened at their B-Grade game. Assuming they would have done the same for A-Grade. Don't think they'll make the same mistake this week.

Yeah it's true. Stupid rule and something we didn't even think of. I only realised while goal umpiring the B grade and saw AV with 4 on the bench. Also didn't help that we had a late withdrawal from the A's so we could have played with only 20. A few frantic phone calls saw the boundary umpire from the B's in the car down to the A's to fill the bench out.

Giving the opportunity to field an extra player so one less player misses out on a final is a great gesture. I've seen it save coaches the hardest job over the years.

I understand the theory behind it, still a stupid rule. Why stop at 4 then, play 7 like the C grade. Clubs are still going to have unlucky guys miss out.
