Did he give a compelling reason for the complete turnaround?

P.S what are Joe's business interests - outside of the club?

I think Earth Moving is his primary interest, not sure what others he'd have.

A major club benefactor recently told me his other interests include employing Norwood recruits.

Nothing wrong with that

A Bay supporter made a good point last weekend when in between heckling McKernan all day he asked me why would the club still be playing this spud when we know he wont be at the club next year. He would rather of seen a kid getting a go. Thought it was a very good point.
What is stopping clubs, especially the NO voters in telling the Cows listed players to get knicked for the rest of the year?

It could only be that all the clubs have "agreed" to try and make it work.
That and they don't want to upset the bosses of AFLSA

No Votes

South have Hartigan ... he will win the Knuckey Cup
... that is it I think.

Central have
Callinan ....one of their own and a big difference to their finals chances.
Dowdell .... a great pick up from South

The YES clubs should lose their AFL players as they voted out the current system, not the other way around!

237 pages here and I aint reading them all,

Question,

AFL players have certain things that they are subjected to such as drug tests etc.

Obviously players that are not under the AFL scheme will be filling in from time to time in the Reserve sides.

Will they be accountable and open for these testings as well, or is it that you are in the magoos and not under AFL rules.

Just interested to know

SANFL players are drug tested often and would follow SANFL drug policy which would be similar to the AFL.

Two weeks ago, four clubs were in immediate danger of financial implosion so we ruined the competition to save them. But according to Whicker in today's paper everything's awesome and West Lakes will underpin each clubs survival for eternity.

Somewhat mixed messages.

Another one of their concessions? Or do you just mean they've qualified?

Sign of the times....

I can see the Norwood Oval scoreboard on TV and it shows no West/South score, but has the Crows match, complete with the points tally!

THE Adelaide Crows' reserves team in the SANFL is facing renewed controversy after widespread dissatisfaction amongst local clubs with recruiting concessions handed to West Adelaide and Norwood.

A cartel of SANFL clubs is lobbying the League to revisit the SANFL Commission's decision to grant the concessions to compensate the loss of players to the Crows reserves.

Both Norwood and West are currently under recruiting bans due to prior salary cap breaches.

Rival clubs are also upset that the decision on the concessions was only handed down after the 'yes' vote to allow the Crows into the SANFL.

''It's absolutely disgraceful,'' one league director said.

''Norwood have benefited by breaching the salary cap already with one flag and it's in prime position to win another - now this.

''It's a classic example of why the clubs don't trust the SANFL.''

Only South and Central have a right to complain, the clubs that were stupid enough to vote YES without enough detail can all take a flying **** as far as I'm concerned as they only have their own incompetence to blame.

x2!!!!

How anyone could be surprised at this considering the whole debate the Crows put forward was based on guesses, lies, and fear is beyond me.

The league has well and truly become a joke in a matter of a couple of weeks.

Watch this space soon as well regarding a Centrals/AFL listed player will no doubt cause alot of debate and heated discussion.

The Clubs can't be surprised that Norwood 'flipped' - when the SANFL said to them; "Allow the Crows in & we will remove any Salary Cap Breach sanctions imposed".

This is the problem with a 'forced decision' without SERIOUS debate/discussion.
Serve them right - my Club included.

The 'Devil' was always going to be in the detail - as a result of a rushed call, they now have issues??? ... Pfft
Have they not heard of the saying "You made your bed..."???

And now that they have been let in with no detail required its hard to knock back any of their requests as they have already been approved.
