Every club should be allowed to ask and receive the right to play their biggest rivals twice. Rey and m/vale..The Noarlungas, Happy Valley and Flaggies etc..
If your club doesnt have a close rival...create one.

10 Team Div 1 , play each other twice per season , Problem Solvered Boss

OMM Couldnt agree more

I really don't see why they (Rey v MV) shouldn't play twice a season?
Each club plays two teams from the bottom half twice and two teams from the top half twice.
So surely one of those games no matter where they finish on the ladder the previous year couldn't be against each other?
I think the rivalry round is a great thing for each club, as it brings in more people through the door.
Regardless where someone is on the ladder you will always see a packed Rey/MV game.
The same could probably be said for other games (not 100% sure on all rivalries) like Brighton/MP, HV/Flaggies, Noar/PT Noar and too be honest I would say the Hackham v Lonsdale game would probably attract a decent crowd, even though that is probably based on where they are on the ladder.
Going out to watch some of the Rey/MV games you get plenty of spectators come out from other leagues to watch which can only be good for the league!
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

I don't have a problem with this being accomodated by the SFL where possible. Builds a stronger comp and keeps the supporters interested.
The HV/Flaggies rivalry is one sided with the Vikings winning the last 21 in a row, but still draws a strong crowd at either ground.

10 team division would be ideal, but is nothing more than a pipedream, unless there is a change at board level of the SFL.
I'd also like to see the GF returned to a club ground rather than South Adelaide. Great surface, zero atmosphere.

If you want to see a close game head down to Shark Park Sunday and watch the Juniors take on the old fossils (in the messenger), also Andrew Jarman coming down for the afternoon.

Won't see 2 divs when all 15 clubs view themselves as div 1 teams, that discussion can be buried I'd say. Glad to see our U14 and U16 playing finals this yer too, well done.

Happy to be a dinosaur, especially one that likes to see some atmosphere on GF day.
Fortunately the atmosphere back at the club makes up for it, but call me old fashioned, I'm happy to wear that tag. Oh, and so I can be modern too, here's a hashtag #bringbacktheclubgroundgrandfinals

Vikings fire a shot across the bow with a win over the Roos at the Pasty. Great game and class shone through when it mattered. McKenzie tore Barrie apart and Borowski back to his best in the middle. Murphy and Ruwoldt great for the Roos.
Forward options for the Vikings were critical today with Squire and Gordon working well together.

A beer on the balcony can't be beat. Those at ground level might as well read the messenger for the scores.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

It is what it is.
Maybe these two marquee clubs of the SFL should have their final played at AAMI stadium next week as the curtain raiser to the last AFL game ever played at this venue.
Such is the importance of this rivalry, we should, immediately alter the scheduling of this final, preferably to a ground that offers the following:
Lots of parking. Neutral to both Teams. Good Surface. Good change rooms. Plenty of viewing access. Covered viewing. Interior bar facilities. Quality BBQ access.
Sick of the negative bullshit from some of you twits from up & over the hill.

Still don't like this about the SFL, do what the SAAFL do if you earn the right to a home final then pay a fee to the league to cover their end and then you get to host it. Happy valley play morphy parks this week on neutral ground, why have the Roos earnt this right??? Joke!

They don't currently play finals at the pastie. It is either nuetral grounds or exactly like the SAAFL. Interestingly the current fixtures on the SFL website show Christies Beach in the visitors change rooms at Bice this week.

Unlike you blokes whether they are winning or losing they bring good crowds.. Promotion of SFL should mean best ground for play and atmosphere

A good idea is if you are sick of the bullshit from up and over the hill you could always go an play across the plains.
