I think the club should be giving the Gowan boys a ring and see if they have any interest in coaching.

i hope so.

Cos swapping coaches without fixing the underlying issues has got you soooo far in the past 'x' years hasn't it?

Seriously PP, do you think it's the coach, or the issue surrounding keeping and attracting players in the first place (ie, NOT the coach!). The coach has changed over the years but the problem still exists. So simply, changing coaches doesn't fix problems from above!

Fuller was appointed to fix this issue . The so called underlying issue you talk about .

It's been 4 years and problem not fixed ... So who is responsible for that and who gets paid full time to fix it ?

He's the leader and after 4 years nothing has changed at all. We have gotten worse ! ... And not looking to get any bloody better either !! :(

Aren't the underlying issues about retaining players? I'm not sure you can fix the SANFL salary cap and guys going and playing for country teams for more coin and less responsibility. Sure you can talk the odd player into staying but once they realise there is money out in the country (not far from Noarlunga), they disappear for ever.

What I'm trying to say is that the issue is bigger than anything one coach can deal with because most of those issues are out of his control.

Switching coaches isn't going to fix it, unless they bring the magical panacea that fixes the other issues as well.

Losing players to country football has not really been a problem although Stribling did this earlier this year.
The issue has been losing good players to rival SANFL which weakens us and strengthens our opposition and considering everyone has the same salary cap this would indicate man management issues.
Warren, Parry, Boyd, Archard, Ainger, Koster, Cockshell have all left South and gone to our rivals.
I believe our current squad has some talent and should be higher on the ladder and more competitive than we are. Coach doesn't appear to be getting the best out of the team and we can't simple keep him because others before him have failed.

We (NAFC) lose players to rivals every years as do most others I suspect. That's just how it is.

Yeah that is true however South have a habit of losing some of their best players and because we have no depth it really hurts us.
North clearly have better depth than us I have been quite impressed how North have covered for the losses of Bennett, Allan, Alleway and all the players who were drafted Mayes and Currie I think were a few. No way South could cover losing players of that calibre.
Really concerned if we lose Liddle, Cross and Wundke we currently don't have depth to cover these blokes. As much as South people prob dont want to admit it losing Ainger has hurt us our forward line is way to predictable.

South should have a natter to the guy who recommended hiring Fuller. Apparently his office is pretty close to Ronnie's.

Dont they share the same office?
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting
