This is the problem with a 'forced decision' without SERIOUS debate/discussion.
Serve them right - my Club included.

The 'Devil' was always going to be in the detail - as a result of a rushed call, they now have issues??? ... Pfft
Have they not heard of the saying "You made your bed..."???

I will pull you up on that one LEH
Norwood still has to pay the fine and the recruiting sanctions are still in place.
Still not allowed any recruiting. The only recruiting allowed is to replace the 2 home grown players that will be lost to the Cows next year. In effect we are allowed to recruit 2 players but they have to be squeezed into the salary cap

do the other clubs get special treatment re: their home grown talent?

a recruiting ban is a recruiting ban and should be upheld regardless

All clubs who lose home grown talent to the Cows should be awarded some type of compensation.
Perhaps the Cows should be forced to financially compensate the other clubs.
$50k per player taken perhaps

The Crows should be paying transfer fees to the SANFL clubs. Currently AFL players moving clubs in the SANFL have a standard $20,000 fee.

I rate Martin, would be surprised if they let him go.
If so im sure another club would pick him up

They will, Adelaide cant draft this summer so they're pretty much stuck with what they have got.

Just looked at the Victorian tables

AFL has Hawthorn & Geelong top 2
VFL has Geelong & Box Hill Hawks top 2
VFL Reserves Box Hill Hawks 2nd (no Geelong team)
TAC Cup has Geelong & Eastern Rangers (Box Hill hawks feeder club) top 2

Is this a sign of what to expect if AFL teams are allowed to have a feeder structure

No because the Crows are only using the SANFL for development, they aren't playing to win the SANFL flag. Apparently

Just means to be successful in the AFL you need to have great depth.
If the Crows are ever up the top again their reserves will be successful too.

Just out of interest where are Melbournes and St Kildas feeder teams?

Still getting it wrong, Norwood did not breach the salary cap they were punished for breach of regulations .... paperwork.
The recruiting ban still applies to Norwood and West.
Both Norwood and West can replace home grown players lost to the Crows reserves as can ALL clubs.
How much simpler can it get ????????????????????

We are only recruiting/replacing what the Crows are taking.
No Crows no loss of players.

So you are still allowed to recruit returning legs players from afl under the ban

Plus two recruits from anywhere to replace brown and Grigg.

Is that right sdk ???

As I understand it yes.
Given the number of good juniors we have and hoping we don't lose them all we probably won't be recruiting much anyway.
The original ban was recruiting outside our area.

Well they will be taking 2 of North's home grown talents so where is the fairness when Norwood who were banned from recruiting for cheating are suddenly in the same market as North and the other clubs having to find replacements? What concession do we get for not breaking the rules yet having to replace players we wouldn't have had to worry about if this whole AFL Reserves thing hadn't happened?

Norwood could, by virtue of their position (a. being the top local club and b. the fact they are proven "cheaters" re throwing more "dirty" $$$ at potential recruits) replace 3 Crows players with 3 gun recruits which then may take away any need to worry re not being able to recruit others becasue of the original penalty! those recruits can come from anywhere and the market for top VFL / WAFL and or ex / delisted AFL players gets smaller every year!

The ruling is a joke and hence why the other clubs are angry!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
