Question to abbott - "what's 2+2 mr Abbott?"
Abbott - "ummm arrr ummm arrr stop the boats ummm arrr arrr get back in the kitchen, arrr ummm i'm a spud ummm arrrr"

dead set flog

or, ask that question to Rudd/Gillard/SHorten or whoever is running the debacle they call the labor party these days, that same question and it will be

"whats 2+2" and the answer would be ""70 billion in tax thank you"

Another "nailed it"

Rudd is running a presidential style campaign and doing it very badly
He has no substance at all and he is being exposed
You can blatantly see the Labor candidates trying to win their own seats without him.

You may not like Abbott but he is just Keating reincarnated.
If you were happy to have that thug in office, this one wont worry you either.

What is worse - getting an answer that is overly and unnecessarily comprehensive, and exaggerated in its detail...or not getting any info at all, but instead a stammer and stutter, as the person answering the question doesn't want you to have any idea of what their intentions are?

It doesn't matter what side of politics you are on, politicians will never answer a question where they don't have to. Only a skilful journalist will have the nous to flesh out anything factual from these people. Politicians know this and they play on it all the time. I'm convinced that filibustering is an art form that is taught in universities.

I'm watching Christine Milne at the NPC right now and she has not answered one question. Despite the room being full of supposedly the Press Gallery's brightest stars and biggest egos. No one pulled her up and referred her back to the question. So, she does as she pleases and we mug punters have to cop it.

Looks as though the economy grew 0.6% in the second quarter, higher than forecasted. GDP per hour worked up 1.7% in the year, with market sector up 2.3% in the year. Productivity continuing it's steady increase.

Libs inheriting a strong economy, let's hope they don't send it backwards.

She's got no hope in Wakefield. None. Champion will probably fall over the line despite being lazy and pretty useless in the electorate. Liberals' Tom Zorich is not really a gun performer but will grab votes from disaffected punters who hate KRudd. He could get up but I doubt it.

And speak of the devil, KRudd is spruiking off somewhere in Wakefield with Nick Champion. Rudd opens with a question "anyone here barrack for the Lions"? After a few good natured jeers he turns and asks Nick who he barracks for, and he replies "Collingwood" and everyone boos. Classic

I believe Mrs Rudd (Therese Rein) is from Elizabeth area.

Champion's a dropkick he practically begged Gillard to set up welfare quarantining in Playord council.

The Greens Sheree Clay is from the protest group SPAG (Single Parents Action Group), she's got my vote.

My 'spies on the ground' have informed me Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will be visiting Anglicare's St Laurence's Court nursing home at Grange in half an hour.

I know that the family was living in North Adelaide just before they moved interstate in 1972. Her brother,Peter, was my best friend at school at the time. Peter was a North supporter as well...good man. ;)
My cousin was in Therese Rein's class at Saints girls.

You are dead right apart from the closeness of the election. It will be a flogging but younger generations have no interest in economic management, foreign policy and all the important stuff that governments have to do, and thats fair enough. Gay marriage is not important to older people who grew up in a different era. I have some friends who are pretty much politically neutral and when I asked them how they were going to vote they said "Rudd, because he gave us cheques for $900" so right there is the ignorance that is among us. Anyway it won't matter and this time next week we will have some intelligent adults occupying the treasury benches and they will get some work done to try and rescue the country from the chaos that we've had for the last six years.

Yep that's right we are in a real predicament?

I stand corrected, I was sure I remember reading something during Rudd's first PMship with her saying she grew up in Elizabeth so understands what Holdens means to the area or something (maybe it was just her growing up in Adelaide in general) but having done a bit of research can't find anything about that, my mistake.
