The very sane Clive Palmer has gone on TV and accused Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife of being a chinese spy that was spying on Rupert:

Aspiring prime minister Clive Palmer has accused Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife Wendy Deng of being a Chinese spy who had been keeping tabs on the media mogul before their split in June.

The extraordinary claims, made during an interview on TODAY, visibly shocked host Karl Stefanovic, who told Mr Palmer he should not make such accusations without proof.

"You know Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi Deng is a Chinese spy," Palmer said.

"She's been spying on Rupert for years, giving money back to Chinese intelligence."

Stefanovic was forced to interrupt his guest, asking him if he had "lost the plot."

I believe the reason he holds down the job is he was a favoured employee of Kerry Packer who set him up from the early days. He is certainly not the sharpest tool in the box.

Abbott & the Libs to bring in internet filter, sneaky cnuts:

A Liberal National government in Australia would adopt the opt-out UK approach to filtering the internet for all Australians.

The policy comes less than 41 hours before polls open for voting in the federal election where the Coalition is currently expected to win. It is also almost a year after the Labor government abandoned its plans for mandatory internet filtering, and three years after the Coalition announced that it would not support a policy for mandatory internet filtering.

The announcement, buried in an AU$10 million online safety policy published online today (PDF) announces that under a Tony Abbott government, Australians would have "adult content" filters installed on their phone services and fixed internet services unless they opt out.

Yep fancy that. Stefanovic might have laughed him off, but the Wendi Deng thing has been around for a while, whether it's true or not, who knows?

The real interest is whether Palmer will sue Brough and expose a campaign to bring down the government.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Another backflip from the Libs:

A FUNDING backflip by Sturt Liberal MP Christopher Pyne has angered Burnside Hockey Club.

Mr Pyne pledged $400,000 towards a new home pitch for the club in 2010, but has since withdrawn his support for the project.

Burnside Hockey Club president Steve Shearer has told the Eastern Courier Messenger he was shocked and angered by Mr Pyne's decision on the eve of a federal election the Coalition will almost certainly win.

Pork barreling? I think since the first announcement of the election on the 14th, its been smear and character assassination and huge negativity by both sides. Hopefully a clear cut result will put this sort of stuff to bed for a while.

Thankfully its almost done. Horrible campaign devoid of any real bright ideas or personality. The sooner the election is over and the LNP starts doing something, the better for everyone.

For the first time in my life I'll be voting Labor.
3 reasons.
1) More friends on facebook have been bombarding me with Liberal crap than Labor crap.
2) Can't stand Tony Abbott
3) redandblack is no longer here, if he was I couldn't vote Labor!

If Labour wins, Rudd will complain that the Senate will block the Legislation his Government wants passed.

If Liberals win, Abbott will say that the deficit is bigger than expected and so his Government can't do all the things they promised in the election

and all the other Parties and Independents will do their best to disrupt what ever Government is in power because that's all they do.

Who cares who wins the election.
