Well now the Port model is different and the fact that 7 of the 8 clubs (North strongly opposed it) allowed them a completely different model then I have lost all desire to follow a comp which has 3 sets of rules and standards. The decision to allow Port no age restriction on it's 15 top up players will almost certainly result in the Crows getting the same in the near future. So the two full time professional clubs playing in our comp will end up with more advantages than the 8 semi-professional teams who are the core of the SANFL.

How the SANFL and the Directors who allowed this to occur (including my Club Director re the Crows vote), need to really re-assess what they have done and never whilst they hold power use such words as relevancy and integrity in respect to the decsion they have made that IMO have now ensured the SANFL as we knew it / know it at present slides into mediocrity under the control of the AFL Clubs and ultimately the AFL.

I will not attend another NAFC game nor will I renew my membership.

Sadly in this case your club voted YES and my club voted NO.

Your club let the crows in (afl team in the sanfl) , what's the point in standing in front of the other corporation? By letting the crows in the situation is beyond repair. No point standing under a twenty storey building trying to save the top level whèn someones allowed the foundation and supports to be destroyed.

How are we hypocrites when we jumped over every club that voted yes to the Crows proposal including our own? Nor wood just the worst of a bad bunch by doing such an about face and we all know why that was.
I don't give a **** about the current proposal, the war has already been lost, its just mopping up the shit now. Port can play a world 18 now for all I care.
The only 2 clubs that can hold their head high are Central and South and if you can't see that you are a delusional sheep!

i have also accepted it, and will be moving on to other things. what the sanfl directors dont realise, is that once they have lost supporters, and those supporters have found other interests to fill in their time, it will be highly unlikely that they will be back.

ill spend my time with my young kids, or watching country footy, or shooting with my guns, hell, with the money ill save by not going to the footy ill probably get my handgun licence. once i fill my weekends with other things i wont have time to go back, and in a couple of years if North are struggling for members, it will be too late.

in the words of my clubs president, if this change costs a large number of members, the afl clubs wont be voted out, North will just close. he couldnt see any circumstance where the option to vote the afl clubs out would be taken. once the original vote got up, it was over.

Norwood, North, West, Sturt, the Eagles, and Glenelg have brought this on themselves. unfortunately the two clubs that stood up (Centrals and South) will get dragged down with the rest. anything that has happened, or will happen since the vote to allow the crows in is just posturing to save face.

RIP SANFL

The money I put into the NAFC Presidents group which raises tens of thousands of dollars for the club every year will now be going to SACA and Adelaide Oval Footy Memberships. Not wasting money on a reserves comp (except for memberships with South and Central as a token of thanks).
6 Clubs have no rights to whinge over any deal Port gets as they dug the grave.

Going to be a busy turnstile Boon.

Port Adelaide has kept the turnstiles spinning (and the $ANFL coffers full) for 143 years. I'm sure we'll be fine.

Hawthorn, but not with the passion I did or still do of the PAFC. But, being a Port Adelaide person I had no hesitation in maintaining my Magpie allegiance and following the PAFC into the AFL.
