It seems some are accusing him of saying "he was into Macca all day" but that was some tosser who goes by Bloods4Life people. I think MF's contribution on this issue has been quite reasonable in the circumstances. There you go MF - you may need to frame this post.

I'm not saying he's not, as I wasn't there, but surely we should wait till it is investigated before making outlandish statements as being stood down for finals etc. Imagine how you would feel if you were stood down on, what is currently, hearsay and then found to have not had a case to answer.
Agreed the SFL should pull their heads out their arses long enough to sort out the issue, before the weekend, but let's face it the current administration have a habit of ignoring the negative aspects of the league as long as they can.

Agree - no one seems to have seen the incident and everyone assumes it was an unprovoked act behind play
Dont get me wrong not saying that HV dont feel for the kid but there are 2 sides to every story.
Innocent until proven guilty and lets see what happens at the tribunal. Supposedly Edwardstown have it on tape and if that is the case was the person videoing the game aiming the camera at where the play was or the 50m, 100m or 20 km behind play that the incident supposedly took place? If it is on tape then all shall be revealed next Tuesday night. Until then there is a guy who has a pretty good record of being a good bloke on the field and off that is being constantly slandered on this forum. We have all said our piece surely its time to move on?

Lets also not pretend that those clubs like Noarlunga and their posters dont have a vested interest in making sure he gets rubbed out.Interesting that Macka didnt play when we beat Reynella early in the season, was in the best players when we played Emus, was in best best players when Noarlunga beat us by 4 points about a month ago and didnt play when we beat them first time we played them.

The question has to be asked why it would take so long to convene a tribunal, the board had their meeting Monday night and surely would have received the club report by then, else it would be an investigation committee.
Throws an interesting situation into this week, player plays this week and helps his team to a Grand Final. Supposing he is found guilty, will the tribunal then hand out a lesser penalty due to the emotion of rubbing out a player for a GF? (ie 3 weeks instead of 5 weeks as missing the GF far outweighs missing 5 minor round games)
Surely you would want this out of the way earlier than the week leading up to the GF?
If he is found not-guilty, is is an unfair distraction on the player this weekend in a cut-throat final.
