I wonder how long the forum is going to continue to sledge him and how many people on this forum would actually drop their captain for a preliminary final BEFORE he has had the opportunity to appear at tribunal? Get off your high horses and be honest. For those that think there are more important things than winning a game of football obviously aren't thinking about the hard work a team, club, coach and player does to get themselves in this position. McKenzie has every right to play this week and I reckon if the current Edwardstown coach was still coaching HV he would pick him

How about we get onto the footy? Heard that Moyle is now not returning for Reynella - pockets not as deep as they thought perhaps? Not sure when the decision was made but he has still been named in Reynella side.

You guys crack me up. Oh what a bloody good bloke, get off his back, what about provocation, current Townies coach would play him this week etc etc. Truth is He's nothing but a friggin thug, has been for a long while and every one of you wankers know it yourself and that's why you're all here trying to blow smoke up his ass. 1000 plus non HV people are going to be watching and booing him tomorrow and I bet you wankers have cameras hoping to catch someone belting him. I have news for you, everyone of his opponents is a bucket load better bloke than him and will be happy for him to be suffering in his shame and won't need to worry about belting him........Ahh that feels better

Carefull you dont choke on your own verbal bull there 1919

All the talk about 1000 people there to boo him - what are you trying to insight? Is this the same club that is advertising on their facebook page for more witnesses to what happened on weekend and in your game against Brighton? Are you also the one that called the media?
We will just use this as motivation and Scott's team mates will rally around him

Bring on the footy

MF, I don't need to incite a thing, your boy has done that all by himself via a gutless and cowardly act.......Witnesses....Can never have too many to support the video footage you keep banging on about? The more witnesses the better, such acts on the football field or anywhere in the community can not go unpunished. I wonder if the league has a limit on the number of witnesses that can be called? Re calling the media, no need for anyone to call the media mate, any smart journo would have been onto this site every Monday all season looking for a story. The journo on Monday would have thought he'd hit the jackpot and that's no ones doing other than your hero. Had it been Townies that called the media, I'm sure the journo would have been able to quote more than just a 'no comment'.

All the best to all teams playing prelims tomorrow.

Everyone presumes the incident occurred without any provication and are quick to have a crack at a bloke who has a reputation of being a great man and great footballer. With all the talk about players chasing money how often do you get a footballer the quality of this bloke that stays loyal to the one football club his whole life? Couldnt count the amount of clubs that have chased him over the years. He is also the guy that other posters have praised for being quick to come in to opposition rooms after the game for an ale or 2. He has been a loyal captain of our club, supports our junior lads and will give anyone the time of day back at the club on a Saturday night.

He has been loyal to HV and HV will be loyal to him.

Absolutely. Brilliant post. Great person and great captain. The reigning SFL premiership captain by the way
LOL. The guy has THE worst white line fever I have seen in over 30 years of football.

That's rich coming from a noarlunga supporter. Marty Clifton may have played and represented your club in the last 30 years???

SFL have to be congratulated on the fact that the infrastructure put in place behind their juniors comp this season has been very successful in addressing the issues experienced last season, resulting in a greatly improved experience for players, families and clubs alike.

For the record; I am in no way affiliated with EFC juniors but do watch senior games when work permits. Reference to referral of SFL is for senior footy only!!

You continue to state "the great bloke " theory, but unfortunately that is simply no defense. Get real, this isnt the first time this "great bloke" has behaved in this manner. The truth is that hes got away with it before. As an ardent football follower I couldnt care less how many clubs have pursued him nor how loyal he has been to your club. If this incident had happened outside of a footy ground he wouldve been charged with assault or worse, locked up, and shamed by the broader community. Wake up to yourself. If HV play him today, whichever way you paint it, they are condoning his action. There has been a lot said about "what if it was your son" and Mr Footy, just put yourself in that scenario and see how you would feel.

It seemed an out of character act but maybe the finger should be pointed at the coach because that's not out of character and some of the crap he was carrying on with whenever anyone tackled Jonny Eagleton (which wasnt often) indicated this type of tactic. To take out a key opposition play maker in the 1st quarter was a key tactical advantage to HV, wonder where they got that idea

G'day all. How much will it cost to go to the GF next weekend? I've scanned the SFL website but haven't had any luck finding the gate prices.

Cheers

Not dead sure, but given that semis and elimination finals were $10, I'd say $15 would be likely for Hickinbotham. I think it was $15 last year from memory, kids under 16 free.

Sounds like a great contest today Moe. Roos have been a great side this year and deserve the first spot in the GF. Congratulations to Emus for such a strong finish, definitely on the up. Well, now I wait for tomorrow's game which by all accounts should be a great contest also.

Sounds like it was a tough battle - not unexpected that Twisties would make the GF and great to see them there. Very good for their club and will help them attract juniors

Full credit to BC - an old valley lad - great work in getting them to a prelim

Well done Morphy Parks, fantastic win. That never say die attitude has got us into a Grand Final, a great fight back after being 20 something points down half way through the last 1/4. one of the best wins I have seen. To Morphett Vale, they battled all day, very hard at the ball and had some very quick players, this Morphett Vale team will be be around the pointy end of the ladder next year and a few more after that. Great work by there coach and captain to come into our change rooms after the game and congratulate us. With people like that you will alway be a top team and club.

Back to the Roos, I hope you all enjoy the week and next Saturday is a sea of red and yellow down at south adelaide. It's been along time between drinks. Lets finish off what has been a great year. [-o< GO YOU ROOS
