Aren't the poms a joke??????

Postby The_Bay_Boy » Mon Feb 13, 2006 3:07 pm

Did anyone see on the news the other day, the English cricket team at a special ceremony with the Queen.????

What a joke??

Imagine if we did that for the Aussies.... The presentations would never end.

The poms know that its not going to happen again for a very long time, so they better make the most of all the praise for only winning the Ashes by 2 runs!!!!!!

Most of their decent players were not even born in England:

Kevin Pieterson - South Africa
Geraint Jones - PNG/Australia
Simon Jones - Wales
Andrew Strauss - South Africa

Makes you think, would they have still won the Ashes without Pieterson, Simon Jones & Strauss.

If the Queen is going to hold ceremonies like this everytime a side wins the Ashes, then she better be expecting to be greeting Australian players a lot more from now on, all of whom BTW play for the country they were born in, except Symonds who didn't play in the last series anyway, nor is he guaranteed a spot in the upcoming series.
