Not sure why but didn't happen in the end and the Reynella players were very disappointed they didn't have a copy of the game.
It's a great idea to have it done, great work by Flaggies.

Back in 2010 I think the footage was destroyed when someone dropped the camera after the BOG Medal was announced.

This what the SFL should do this is a highlight package from a Div 1 league EFL. They broadcast the game live online each week. This year 4 cameras at the GF game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eban9o4jtJA

Yes expensive but great exposure for sponsors should cover bill.

PS have a look at the goal kicked at the 4.20 minute mark of the video

I think you could be getting mixed up with some potential future Morphy Park players who may not have been paid match payments for their last few games.

I think you'll find there a number of clubs that don't. In many cases sponsors will cough up bonus payments etc. but they are not contractual.

Don't read too much into it AFC9798. Just some murmurs around the Bay that cash flow at the GFC may have got very tight near the end of the season. Probably no different from 5 or 6 other SANFL clubs but does make one wonder how the SANFL can survive if they want to maintian its status as being the strongest comp outside the AFL. Even with a salary cap, the clubs clearly aren't making enough money to justify what they pay for coaches and recruits.

I still can't for the life of me work out why the Under 18 comp is not played as triple headers with the Reserves and League games. Obviously Friday night games makes this a problem but Saturday and Sunday games would make sense. I haven't seen an Under 18 game for a while but surely the lads would get a bigger kick playing before the Ressies and with a crowd starting to build rather than playing a stand alone game in front of just parents and the odd scout most weeks. No to mention the reduced strain on having support staff at different venues at the same time.

Laugh Laugh Laugh.. DTH wasn't BDOS who floated the idea of the C grade being played on a Saturday at the away venue of the A grade Home game?? Wouldn't that split and strain resources at SFL level??

Rumor of lack of or delayed payment to players and officials

Can't help it but I know this will fire up W&D, AB and a few others.. Reading the Guardian Messenger sport and see that Murphy would like to bring more of his Ex retired bay mates to the Roo's. But reflects that "There's a Points thing" and he would be restricted by the SFL player points system which prevents too many SANFL players in at once..

Really Byron that is exactly what the system is designed for to stop clubs loading up, it is meant to even the competition. I still fail to understand how bringing in highly paid or credentialed retired SANFL footballers is actually building a club for the future, after all they won' t have that many years left before they also retire and leave a club back where they were.

Depth Byron is not about retired SANFL players it is about building from the bottom up.

All power to the club that brings in the occasional big name to top off the work they have done, but loading to win a flag is and will not achieve bugger all for a clubs long term future. Football history is littered with clubs who have gone out bought a flag or two then just a quickly ended up back down the shit tube.

Although from the rumor mill they may be more likely to get paid at the Roos than at Tigerland.
