Was there a premiership team last year??

Postby dogfish » Tue Feb 14, 2006 9:19 pm

just a quote I found on the CDFC forum, which I totally agree with.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last time FootySA had an article on Centrals was back in November 2005 when Paul Thomas was delisted by the Bombers. Look at all the Norwood/North news on there now and then consider all the Centrals news they haven't mentioned in the last couple of months:

No mention of the upcoming Cricket match - CDFC v Northern Jets?
No mention of the new CDFC logo? (And remember the "hoo haa" for the new Norwood logo!)
No mention of the "new look" CDFC website?
No mention of the new CDFC Forum?
No mention of any of the CDFC recruits this year?

I think if FootySA wants to be taken seriously as a SANFL news site then they need to do a little more homework on the clubs they are obviously out of touch with."

dogfish, probably bringing it up on the wrong site but just take into account that only 2 people now run footysa as 2 of the original 4 are overseas.
I know North supporters have felt persecuted on footysa at times but there's been times when Norwood, Central, Eagles, Sturt, Port, etc fans have also felt that way at times.
I have no doubt CA and nai are trying their hardest just to keep the site running and noone can doubt their committment to SANFL and FootySA is the insperation behind this site.
If you think there's a newsworthy Centrals story and its not on FootySA, simple, make a post here!
I know there's been discussion on here about the new logo (which I think is great), the new forum which I've advertised on here, recruits and the website.

maybe it has something to do with Norwood and the Bays (and presumably some but not all other clubs) being smart enough to include the footysa boys on their mailling lists for press releases?

Presumably NAI, CA (and Wedgie) don't have ESP?

Used to be an old adage in SA Footy which I still think rings true today (Port supporters used to remind me of it all the time), You aren't really a premiership team until you beat Port Adelaide in a GF.

So hate to dissapoint you doggies fans, your five flags are really claytons flags......

Give me a hoy when you beat Port in a GF, like we did in 34, North in 71, Sturt in 76, Norwood in 97....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Tassie Medallist,
using your logic, if the only premierships that count are those won against Port Adelaide, then Port Adelaide have not got any premierships that count!
Centrals premierships are even more meritorious as they have been against teams that have been better than Port Adelaide that season. Surely, having two or three teams stronger than Port makes those premierships harder to win. Premerships won against Port don't count as obviously the other teams have been weak that year. *grins*

How about going onto footysa and having a look before you post your whinging.

Agreed with everyone else's comments, perhaps Centrals, or Centrals fans, are not letting footysa know. I read this site (safooty) regularly and none of that stuff is on here. I wouldnt expect the footysa guys to read all clubs forums to find out news.

I would be most interested to read a thread on the new Bulldogs logo, given SOME Doggies fans constant shit-canning of Norwood for doing so last year
