Spot on. In this day and age, why are tattoos such a big deal to some?

Yeah, they kicked him out as he refused to cover it up. They have a "no neck tattoos" policy.

I worked in a busy seaside pub in the 90's where the publican wouldn't allow any exposed tattoos or motorcycle helmets on the premises.
That was real fun as a skinny 19 year old having to tell a group of big blokes on motorbikes they had to leave their helmets on their bikes, or refuse them service because they had ink on their arms .

When the old girl owned a pub in the country, we had the pleasure of the Finks for the night. No trouble although one did threaten to break my legs for not pouring his rum strong enough.

I had a brain fart and forgot what thread I was on

I, perhaps indicative of a great proportion of my age group, have no issue with people who choose to get tattoos. A tattoo doesn't maketh the man or woman undesirable, in my opinion. There are plenty of rapists, child molesters, killers and scum around without a drop of ink on them.

However, rules are rules, whether you agree with them or not. I feel for the Alma security, as they were apparently embarrassed to enforce the policy on this bloke.

Getting a compliment from the GM out of the blue for how I do my job.

I almost said "give me a pay rise, ya ****!" but held my tongue.

No one else could believe he threw out a compliment either.
