Agreed Carlile is what he is, but the modern game still has big forwards who require big backs, there's Bobby's job.

Pittard has more about him than you give him credit for, I think so anyway.

I agree though, besides Carlile our back half has it's best football in front of it in the coming years.

Stay classy... ;)

Well, I apologise.

yes you are, because i was genuinely asking a question from people that would know more than me. no idea why that means you get to have a crack.

with regards to port's back 6, i think they need a bit more run from defence. pearce and hartlett used to do that role well, but now hartlett plays more in the mids and pearce isnt there. pittard is probably the one that needs to step up there, and looks like he will do that too.

i think their talls are serviceable without being guns. definitely not the worst defence going around, but nowhere near the top either.

Trengrove almost has a worse kick as Butcher... turns it over too often.

Port's defence too easy to score against and will prevent them from consistently challenging the top 2 or 3

I've watched Phil Davis' injury over and over, and whilst I don't like sinking blokes, should Craig Bird's challenge which resulted in the injury at least been looked at?
Was there a reverse camera angle?
It looked like the knee did the damage possibly .

I disagree.

Seeing the replay, it doesn't look as though Bird went in driving his knee with intention to cause harm, I saw it as one of those extremely unfortunate incidents.

Yes. From 6:30 on 7.
All Crows and Port away games are live, and home games for both will be on a 90minute delay each week from what I have read.

So many people whinge about soft things that are reported but I swear if every incident that was whinged about in weekly chats was reported there'd be 3 times as many.

Yep agreed. I thought Walker's incident would be probably receive a penalty, purely because that's the way the game seems to have gone in recent years.

I reckon it's a win for footy that no further action was required. Sometimes shit just happens in a contact sport and there doesn't always need to be someone to blame.

You can have all the reserves teams in the world you like to develope players.

BUT

If a bloke can't stay within 15m of his opponent you have alot deeper issues

Lewis Johnston's kicking action for goal is possibly the best in the league.
