The race is on...the Eagles would still be favourite for mine.

Are you assuming the top 4 are set?

I would have thought that both 4th and 5th are open for 2 of: Norwood, Eagles, South, Port and Glenelg.
In between signatures .....

I think Norwood will make it as so far they seem to be able to pull out a win when it counts (barring Friday night :D ).
So for me it is the Eagles over Glenelg just...

Pretty early to be writing the Eagles off for a top 3 spot IMHO.

Doing that would mean winning 8 out of last 10 games, maybe 9, I'd say it's the right time to write off those aspirations.

ATM I'm expecting us to just miss out by 1-2 games. Unfortunately we've given ourselves to much to do thanks to too many soft performances in May.....

If we do make it it will because teams above us (Central, north and Sturt) do the right thing by us and beating Port, Norwood, South and Eagles. Realistically our destiny is by and large outside of our own hands.

I'm sure all Sturt and North supporters (who love us so much   ) wouldn't mind beating those teams so Glenelg could make the five....

Deep down I know you love us Punky.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Having watched the Eagles play in 8 out of 10 matches this season I would say top 3 is out of question unless we have a drastic form reversal in the 2nd half. One thing we have going for us is we play westies twice and south another time. I would pencil in 3 wins there, we would still have to beat Glenelg at least once and probably Port and Norwood as well. If we could do this I'm thinking 4th or 5th but I think 3rd is too much of an ask.

Where do you predict the Eagles to finish TGFC. I'm assuming your thinking 7th.

Norwood have been the most convincing so far out of the contenders for 4th and 5th. I expect them to make it. Eagles/Port/Bays and even South could grab that last spot in the finals. I hope the Eagles do, but they will have to win against Port on the weekend and follow up against West the weekend after to have a chance. We also play Glenelg twice at Woodville so those games could be the deciding factor. I don't think any of these 4 teams have shown enough for anyone to be confident about them snaffling 5th spot.

I think the top 3 is set. Central minor premiers and Sturt vs North in the Qualifying Final. I'm tipping North for the premiership. They seem to be cruising to this stage. They have some quality to come back including Hart, Gill and Perrie who I expect to play with them for the majority of the remainder of the year. They know what finals is all about now. I expect them to build momentum at the right time of the year and be hard to stop.

Norwood still have to play Central x 2 and North x 2 so I would suggest it's going to be tough for us ... The positive aspect to it though is if we're good enough to match it with the better teams of the competition and make the finals we should at least be competitive as opposed to making up the numbers.

I'd suggest (as most have) Central, North, Sturt are set, and then it will be the clubs that are most likely to improve in the 2nd half of the season and I'd suggest they will come from Eagles, South, Glenelg or Norwood .. I think the next 3 weeks will decide what chance Port have.

FWIW I reckon:

Central
North
Sturt
Eagles
South

I don't like South's chances of making the 5- followed by Pyman's axing...
