This time last week I mentioned that Browny reckoned he was the best coach in the Hogg and this week he proved that to be the case. Brown Boys scored the upset of the Hogg season in 2014 when he defeated the number one ranked team in the entire Hogg to keep his hopes of avoiding relegation alive in a massive boilover.
There were some other crucial results as well this week as Hips Don't Lie inflicted FOOTYLEDGENS' second straight loss to all but secure the double chance. Things are now looking dicey for the Cub as Killer Wombats and more impressively destiny's uncles having important wins to be only one game outside of double chance calculations.
In recent weeks Shark Week had appeared to be sliding and Delcious looked to be a team on the up but the Sharkys came away with the points in a high quality match up. Not for the first time this season Delicious were a bit unlucky to lose the match. This was a big loss for Delicious who have slumped to tenth even though they have outscored many of the teams above them on the ladder since matches began.
Some Can't are back in the eight after they disposed of Big Al in a low scoring contest. Big Al slipped into the relegation zone as Moneybrawl won yet again, this time over top eight opposition red cans who are once again mid table. Despite Browny's big win, they remain in the relegation zone because Spud Factory managed to collect the points in a percentage booster over Backyarders who will be relegated to Division III next season.
The next three weeks should be a good finish to the year with top eight and top four spots up for grabs and still three relegation slots to be avoided.
regards,
REB
