They'd probably be up there, but if they go, how is this going to affect the promotion/relegation for 07-08?

Who else feels sorry for Hackham?

Yea that seems about right straight swap Morphie Park for Edwardstown!! HAHA!!

I dunno how many quality players Townies have left to leave a couple of good players but most are starting to get a bit long in the tooth why chase guys in the twilight of their careers thats what the ridiculous money in country leagues is for get an old guy there for a year or two on some coin then they call it quits. Club only benefits if they capitalise on it and win a flag or two! I remember Noarlunga trying to buy premierships had a quality side together for 4 years (most of the players from Hackham, believe it or not) and only managed 1 flag where clubs like Morhpett Vale have been investing in their Juniors and not paying big bucks for players and reaping the reward! Your always gonna get more out of guys playing for there mates and the guernsey than guys on shitloads of money!

Morphettville Park,Brighton and Marion all went for a peice of the SAAFL at seasons end last year.SAAFL to my mail will most likely not take any of these clubs (esp BRIGHTON as they have stuffed around the SAAFL in the past.),but this was before this latest out come.Let them go,obviously sick of never winning a SAAFL D1 flag......

Massive step backward for a club to go from Div1/2 to the SFL.
Do you think it will affect player numbers and quality of players moving with the club?

Not sure that they bought the div 2 premiership- certainly a couple on big dollars- but I don't think they were any different to other clubs- It was a big change in personel though.
Going to SFL would be a quick fix and long term be a massive mistake. My mail is that the club are frustarted with SAAFL management, the money they pay to SAAFL and get liitle from it. Their view is that the SAAFL admin look after a set group of teams and brush off the rest of the teams???

The SFL junior system would be lucrative for them aswell. They reckon the SAAFL does nothing for them........So they go to the SFL which has most certainly "done over" struggling SFL clubs and has only recognised the problem after they created a monster which is now the 1 division competition. Let the Towns go if they want to beat div 7 standard clubs every 3rd week and make them selves feel big good luck to them.......But they might find them selves in dire straights when in 6-7 years time the rest of the SFL attempts to join the SAAFL because they have had enough of getting thumped by the top 5-6 powerhouse clubs

How about they join the queue just about every other club is frustrated the the management of the leauge. SAAFL management is a joke they find any little excuse to fine clubs to make money and post $100k plus profits each year and give nothing back

Laughing Kookaburra, if edwardstown move their juniors as well, they will be going backwards, they are best to keep their juniors in the Metro South Junior competition, would be more challenging for them.

Yeah but the financial gains of playing footy the whole day as the juniors tend to stay back and watch the seniors. But it's only short term gain as the SFL has already done the damage.Even if Edwardstown come in it is hard to see Hackham lasting another year especially with their reicent beltings....

well if morphy park cut the tree down that hangs over the ground at one end of the field then the SAAFL might consider them !

Don't know what anyone else thinks but would be a great pick up for the SFL in there attempts to strenghten the league. Just a thought but would the SFL consider introducing Kenilworth into the SFL they would be about the same strenght as Morph Parks wouldn't they?
