We need to get them out for 250 or less to be assured of making the final.

We need to get them out before they reach 80% of our total - that's 250 plus one, so we need to bowl them out for 250. That means Victoria would need to get 2 bonus points - double the oppositions total, but even then they won't go through because we beat them twice. If the head to head was 1 all it goes down to net run rate, I think.

Yep. Just need the last two before 250...

By the way, that's the bonus points for the team batting first. For the team batting second, one bonus point is awarded for getting the runs in 40 overs. Two bonus points is awarded when the runs are made in 25 overs. (Provided there is no rain shortage)

Johnson is batting - pity that Dizzy has finished his 10 - he could have given his a bruise or two to take to Sth Africa. Maybe Tait will deck him instead.

We needed to get the double bonus point for that, NSW had to lose as well.

Ahh well, all the more fun when we beat them in Sydney, would have liked to have gone had it have been here though.

Great work Boof and Co! Its never easy especially for SA teams winning at the GABBA, great effort.

Pretty damn good for a team that isn't good enough to produce any national players. The only advantage is all our players are available, theirs are in Africa (HA HA) :P

Stop press: We can still host the final!

This is from Dave W on BigFooty:

Code:
Match 28/30 P W L NR T BP Pts NRR For Aga
South Australia 10 6 3 - 1 3 29 +0.323 2306/456.2 2202/465.3
New South Wales 9 6 2 1 - 3 29 +0.479 2114/399.5 1852/385.1
Victoria 9 5 4 - - 3 23 +0.330 2066/399.1 2061/425.2
Western Australia 9 4 5 - - 2 18 -0.173 2034/426 2157/436
Tasmania 9 2 5 1 1 - 12 -0.228 1825/384.3 1853/372.3
Queensland 10 3 7 - - - 12 -0.643 2164/489.3 2384/470.5
Tiebreakers:
i) Most wins and ties
ii) Head to head
iii) Bonus points
iv) Net run rate

NSW have been a bit quick to claim hosting rights, as the Redbacks now occupy top spot.

Victoria can go to 29 points with a double bonus victory, which means winning inside 25 overs or dismissing Tasmania for half their score. They'd then take second spot on account of more bonus points).

Any other result tomorrow guarantees an SA-NSW final. The Blues requiring a win (or tie/no result) on Sunday to host the final.

Bring on the final, bring on the final. We make the final and we've got no players in the Aussie side, what does that say to the selectors.
