Curtains for the loser. Don't write off Norwood though....they were much better today against the #2 team in the comp today.

Bugger Norwood on 07/07/07 I'm still focussing on beating Centrals....

I'll worry about Norwood in 24 hrs....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Why do you keep starting threads about the next round when this round is only half finished. What's that old saying about "One week at a time"?

Surely you should worry about playing Centrals today before next week!!!!

Been doing comedy long??? Talk about taking the "literal" meaning!!! Why don't you just post a a topic for every remaining minor round game now so we can look even further ahead.

Well if we can't defeat a team that is in the same position as us, fighting for a spot in the finals we don't deserve to make them.

Big match this one. Who is Norwood likely to ruck with Nicholas, Dejong or Meeson?. I notice Vlatko's had a couple of off weeks. He might be due :prayer: i hope not.

Yes, a goal before the half time siren would be nice this time round.

i agree i would think we'd win by more than what norwood beat us by (33) in our worst game of the season (so far)

Gentlemen I admire and respect your confidence but I hope our players are keeping their minds on the job at hand because this is the exact sort of game in the past where we have gone in expecting a win only to get too far ahead of ourselves and lose a game we really should've won (Adel oval v West 2005 is a classic example).

I hope our players have their feet on the ground and are concentrating on getting the job done in the same manner we have shown over the last five weeks by working their butts off out on the ground and staying disciplined to the team plan.

This week I'm hoping to finally see/hear a four quarter effort from our boys, we're yet to do it this year.

wrong tm, the port game at glenelg oval was a 4 quarter slog & dont worry about the players getting ahead of themselves etc, i can tell you that they're focussing on this week only & not looking ahead & you'll find that it has been talked about & as one player told me yeah if/when we win on sunday we'll be in the 5 but last year we were in it for most of the year & blew it for whatever reasons & we will not make the same mistakes again by relaxing & thinking the job is done (i've paraphrased what i was told)

Please to read that Bayman and I bow to your better judgement being closer the the action than I am. As i said after teh last 15 years I refuse to get too far ahead of myself when it come to my clubs on-field success. I'am pleased to read the players aren't either. it bodes well for a good match tis week vis-a-vis a right result agaisnt teh caffe late, Voltaire reading mob.
