Maverick FYI devlino is better than average 2YO. I heard it was deliberately passed in at the MM sales just so that it qualified for the big 2YO race. It has had a start in adelaide to familiarise it with the adelaide circuit, travel, etc. Alot of people underate the trainers ability but she will have the last laugh when it runs a helluva race in the MM.

Did anyone else catch Chickaloo's run?

Yarterbery was dead set cold. Not sure if Mr Carrison knew about it tho, going by his arm waving after the race. Jockey should be shot!!!! Devlino is a nice 2yo for around here, and should be a reasonable 3yo.Trainer just needs to get in touch with reality every now and again. That was the last meeting before the cup, and don;t think we have seen the cup winner here yet. Any horse from Adelaide with moderate form will go well this year. Making the road the best from here but will need luck in the big one given it gets back. Geurnica honest but will struggle at the 1950. Would be better off targetting the 1750 on Tuesday.

Roy McKay I think is riding in country WA...Geraldton?

Very strong rider who was ideally suited to Fenes. Rode with small spurs which kept the old fella guessing. Always felt comfortable with Roy in a close finish. Only jockey who had a nose longer than the horse's.
Sandview needs Roy McKay at this moment in time. The only thing longer than Roy's nose was his schlong and that is exactly what Sandviw is looking for.

Tim Axon rode an excellent race on MaHaba in the last. Got caught on the fence with no where to go, eased the horse out and around and finished strong;y down the middle to score. One of the axemans' better rides.

BHD you are right RB McKay has a great style, one of the best ive seen - good to hear he is still riding.
Also been told by other jockeys who have seen in in the shower that he had one of the biggest d_cks in racing - his nose was the only big thing he had.

Haje Tassies might just lay down and die for you guys this week. Couldn't see them being all that exited about a possible encounter with Souths during the finals!! Mav not in the same leauge you reckon. My guess is you are Ben Adams after all and if that is the case I'm not surprised by that comment. See, The Shields A graders not only play a bloody good game of baseball but are smart enough to have not gone over the top and made stupid comments like that. Haje and the rest of his boys seem to let the baseball talk. Shields B graders are a different story. I've listened a few times to comments from guys like yourself with no idea and wondered how the rest of your club tolerates it. One particular night stands out. Shields vs Coyotes Wilky pitched and won and Tim had a bad night on the mound. All I can remember from the game other than that is some of your B grade "STARS" giving Tim and a couple of others a hard time ALL game. Bet he's a hero now after Sunday isn't he. Nothing but respect for your A grade boys and how they go about it. Your B graders are exactly that, B GRADERS. If you are Ben Adams Mav then your right, we're not in your leauge, we're a grade above.

big comment haloman! this was brought up by some members of a couple of other teams... i think last year we got through on 2 and a half wins, then thrashed tassies in the finals and nearly won the grandy, however i would hope that tasmans wouldn't reduce to that level at this stage of the year

One of my favourite all time local horses...probably more of a late 80's horse tho. Won a packet on him at Morphetville the day after Xmas in the late 80's. Are you an ex trainer o l?

On footy news, I hear that Ramblers believe they have got the 'gun' recruit signed sealed and delivered. This is the most wanted signature on the EP and if so, there will be some tears out Windsor Avenue way.
