Wouldn't want to be related to his hamstring. Would make his selection a selfish one.

Yes mate, just avoided a shitty bumper and as he did he sort of dropped his left shoulder and just stopped. Went to his knees and you could see him spasm and twinge as he just stood there.....SHIT.

He wasn't going to sit the game out regardless. Hopefully he can come back and contribute otherwise it will be a bad look for the integrity of the selectors.

Turn it up. The whole of Australia wanted him to play & we all knew the risks.

Showed fantastic leadership through out this whole sad situation & is a massive presence to the team when the team needs it most.

Seemed to have recovered from that specific incident but had his back flare up so no issues picking him. Now it's a question of whether you can ever trust his body. This might be the end of him. 2 games in a row he's come in ok and his body has gone on him early on. Add in the recent troubles and the fact he's always had this back issue and it seems unlikely to go away. Unless there's a new treatment he can try out he and the rest of the leaders in that setup will be asking that question.

Disagree with your first point. Id rather pick someone who his fit rather than pick someone on emotional circumstances. What if he can't bat again for the next month? What good what that be?

Second point is irrelevant to be fit for selection.

Shouldn't have risked Clarke. Should have played ferguson. Shaun has made too many test ducks for mine.

But to put it solely on him being selfish is terribly incorrect. I can't imagine the pressure he was under from administrators, fellow players & the general public to be fit for arguably one of the most significant tests to Australia in the last 5 years.

He also past every fitness test & was in his 3rd hour of batting. Who knows it could only be a small twinge & he could very easily be back to take further part.
