its a hard gig to coach EPFC let alone going to Div3 as a green horn, but he is doing ok.
we have lost about 4 quality players from last year, gone to Div1 and doing well.
but we have a few very good quality players in the pipeline (including current & ex SANFL) for next year so we hope that goes through. Rumour is the Div1 players might come back but not counting on it.
silly season is starting earlier and earlier.
might see you next year then Carey?

Cruzn9 seems to be on a lot which i dont mind, as i said i read most of what is put on there BUT the comment of some bloke running 60m to king hit an Athelstone player is utterly false. I am not condoning what he did because it was stupid (sort of a shirt front to the back) but we dont need false reports on incidents that didnt happen. Why do think no Athelstone player retaliated?............because it did not happen.
And yes Danny Walton is a good fair player as some other members have stated but sometimes if you get punched in the mouth you gotta give it back. Thats when all the crap started at 3qtr time because Danny was hit.
Cruzn9 please keep sending in your two bobs worth cause i like reading it, i really do, but i must admit i will have to read your comments with just a pinch of salt in the future.
We have a couple of idiots that tarnish our club (who hasnt) and things will be changing but i think a majority of EPFC's so called reputation is events that happened years & years ago, but you know what they say "shit sticks".

Thanks for your comments Burglar, & i do apologise for going over the top but i didnt lie about this bloke running 60metres lol
I didnt see the incident in full because it was pretty crowded in there at 3 quarter time but i only went on what a E/Park player said to me after the game & how disappointed he was in his Vice Captain. There is some talent in that e/p side but still missing 3 or 4 players to share the work load.
I should have used more common sense that if a bloke was king hit, how was it possible for the raggies player to walk away unhurt. But from the e/p coach he wasnt impressed at all with the whole thing. (Seems like a top bloke & apparently a very good player in his time.)

I do hope in the future you put the salt away when reading my comments (lol) because i do tell the truth but probally stretched it on this occasion....

I wont reveal the e/p player that told me but lets just say - his a top bloke

thanks for the reply Cruzn9 no problems mate.
yes the bloke ran 60m, we are giving him a bit cause we havn't seen him run that far in his life, and it was a stupid thing to do.
we have a young side and are only commited for saturday's, if you know what i mean, but things will change for next year with a few recruits putting pressure on the young blokes to train.

thanks again Cruzn9 keep the posts coming. :D

Speaking to a couple of guys who have seen a bit of Eastern Park this year, they reckon Payney has got the team going in the right direction and cleared out alot of the riff raff. Just 1 or 2 hot heads left (like Ashby). If they got rid of him they wouldnt have any more issues than any other club in the grade although it would be a tough decision seeing he is a very talented footballer.

not wrong there Orts, seen Ashby get a 40+ touch game this year, he is a very good ball getter and has kicked 20 goals from playing centre but yes he is a hothead. He gets peeved from opposition players getting him in the packs but if you get the ball like he does your gonna draw attention to yourself.
Payne has done well he has cooled the heels of the couple of hotheads in the club but they are still there, just maybe they might be respecting the game a bit more, which is all we are asking.

Just heard some breaking news that Cakebread has returned from the US and has been spotted on the track for SMOSH, will he slot straight back into the A's this week or have to make a return through the lower ranks. From what I have seen in previous years the kid can play!

JOsh ain't back yet. And not playing for the rest of the year...Bad source dude.

Nick may is a chance to return for finals from Europe, but having too much fun supposedly. has most likely been blind for 3 months keeping his standards at all time lows.

I thought that on the day that fat bloke (as you call him) was close to best on ground for eastern park and bar that incident looked like a decent player. From what i heard athelstone are looking at recruiting him to play key position along side duigan next year to replace clayton?? can you confirm Cruzn9
