Rams played really well. Whilst the first 3-4 goals for the Rams came thru telling mistakes by the pies, the rams' midfield were the difference and their forwards kicked big goals when needed. Pollock lead up through CHF and marked strongly several times. Roberston and Joel Mont dominated. Nicklaus was well held for most of the game, but still kicked 3, which in a low scoring game was significant. Disappointing result for the maggies.

How did Bluey go in the magoos?

Hear he hasn't signed or anything, just training for fitness, was told tonight apparently Mallala have other two on the radar, did hear the name Williams getting around.

I'm hearing its Jay WIlliams from Elliston. Another midfielder gun to add to their mix!

Just saying a man of your football wisdom would make a great coach, I'd come play for you..... if it wasn't for the pies.

just to clarify- "if it wasn't for the pies" refers to me not playing for mallala, not that I eat too many pies. (Although I do enjoy a pie and a pint at the footy occasionally..... ok, regularly)

Tips for the week:

United v Balaklava - Will be a very close match to watch and can see this game going either way. Will Balaklava be distracted by the happenings of the past week plus spending lots of time preparing for Sunday? I doubt it, and they will come out firing I think. United by 5 goals.

Two Wells v Mallala - Match of the round this one. Battle of the midfields, but with Two Wells not quite at full strength I'm gonna back the Pies by 7 sausage rolls.

Vriginia v Hamley - How many? With Virginia potent forward line could this be a record score in this league? Can Virginia get to the 50 goal mark? Should be a market on how many big Nik gets. I think he will get 15+ maybe even 20!

I do remember this day. There was a bet made before the game. Dennis said that he would kick 24 goals. I believe Scott wendland said I bet u don't. There was a keg on this, if Deno kicked them we had a keg. So we made sure he did. He had them part way into the 3rd. We all enjoyed the beer.
