But I can definitely see Adelaide drivers clogging up secondary routes in order to avoid the tollgate. When someone from Adelaide visits Melbourne, eight times out of ten they come back saying how great it is that SA has no toll roads. (These are the same sort of people who used to come back with a box of Krispy Kreme and a verbal orgasm that lasted until the contents of said box were eaten.)

As someone who uses this road daily id be happy to pay $3.50 each way from Wingfield all the way through to Flinders Uni
Pay a toll, drive at a constant speed, uses less fuel. Tax dollars DO NOT pay for this as its privately funded hence the "toll". Less fuel, not as much tax paid in fuel you would put in if using normal roads. Most people say "why should i have to pay rego and i pay too much in fuel already which is enough taxes. They dont realise that the "toll" is to pay to use this road because its NOT funded by the tax payer.
Use normal roads, sit in traffic stop starting , uses more fuel, you pay more fuel tax
I use toll road everyday in QLD , spend more time with family and pay LESS fuel
