You are relying on what you have heard re Benny Hart. At the ground I sensed some animosity towards him so all I can say is be careful what you read, if you are going to use it as the basis for comments of your own.

Re-read the comments on this site and my own (also people who were there). He didn't look like he lacked any match fitness to me and ran the game out well - he was one of the few running up and down each end of the ground in the last quarter. The Advertiser had him best for North - maybe a stretch but I thought he was right up there.

Unfair to be singling him out re Sunday's loss IMO.

Fair enough Hondo. You are right I wasn't at the game so I will refrain from making unqualified comments in the future and just rely on your opinion.

Just for the record......I don't recall at anytime, singling him out re our loss on Sunday. I just questioned the decision to play him without giving him a run in the two's 1st after not playing competitive footy for so long, but like you say, you were there and in your opinion he did ok so that's fair enough too.

Play on.

You don't need to rely just on my opinion  Mine is as good as anybody else's. Didn't mean to paint a picture of you being anti-Ben Hart... doesn't sound like you are ... play on

Schubert been left in the reserves while we name Coulter on Chambers. WTF??

I honestly have no idea bout football (or the NAFC selection committe don't).
We'll get thrashed and Chambo will kick 10 (unless they don't line up where they're named and McIntyre who has been in ordinary form does something special on Chambo, doubt it though).

From a Sturt point of view I would be delighted with a Chambers/Coulter match up. I don't think that will happen and without sounding arrogant, to stop Chambers it takes a team effort defensively with blokes clogging space. One on one I don't think there is a backman in the competition that could keep him down all day at the minute. Of course if opposition sides concentrate too much on 'Gas' then that leaves other players free in the forward zone.

Wedgie, would it be fair to assume Ryswyk won't come up, as he is named on an extended bench?

The Sturt side's make up is still a little unknown until Port make their decisions. I would suggest Chaplin will stay with the Blues.

Mattner will line up for Adelaide.

Dunno mate, as I said I must no bloody idea.
Grose might have been an OK match up on Chambo but he's also been dropped.
Schubert would be just about the best match up in the SANFL on Chambers let alone the North squad.

We've been pretty ordinary against North for a while, so if we're any chance it's this week IMO.

Wegs, can't make the game cos it's Sunday and i have a 1st birthday to go to and a bloke's farewell for overseas but I'll be keeping an ear out for updates.

Hopefully I'll see you at one of the finals.

Hey, noone's called me Wegs for 10 years mate!

Definately look catching up in the finals, speaking of not being good against North for a while you were 5 goals up at half time of one game last year and made us look silly in the 2004 1st semi.

This will be a great game. IMO it will come down to mental toughness. Go you Double Blues!
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Like I said, a LONG time ago (in football terms)

Geez, last time I called you Wedgie you said I could call you Wegs. You're getting old mate, maybe your memory has seized.

BTW, off topic, but South's chances of making the 5 mean to me that the SANFL should revert to top 4.

Jarman will look pretty stupid if Sturt win after what he said about them earlier in the season.

to stop chambo it will probably require north to win the midfield to stop the supply to him. this is norths strength and how they beat us last time.

i just want to break this little hoodoo north have on us and this week is a huge chance for sturt to get up.

still tho, north always worry me and we just have to be on top of our game 110%!!!!

Don't stress Jimmy, you're our bitches currently, so were Port until last week, and so were Glenelg not long ago.
I think we can only lay claim to West now, maybe Norwood. :?
