Hope you don't mind Rusby but I editted it to make it a bit easier to read.

Well done to the Port and Glenelg sides, a great effort getting both teams in.

I went to Richmond to watch the a bit of the semis today. Its the first time I saw Port/Glenelg teams and I was very impressed.

I only saw the tail end of Port v Norwood (metro) but the scoreline definately highlighted the slickness that the Port players were showing.

Watched Port v Sturt (country) closely. Port dominated the first quarter and really set the game up. Port were well disciplined by not all getting sucked to the contest. A few out players allowed for quick get aways. Sturt threw a challenge in the second quarter by running the ball and winning the stoppages but Port too good around the ground, keeping it very open. Port Country (from Pt Lincoln way i think) were big boys. Many of them have the buils ready to play senor footy over there. Not only were Port too big but they were in the right spots and grabbed everything that came near them.

The next game Glenelg v South (country) was a great contest. The difference was only a goal for most of the match until the bays (mt gambier) opened up in the last 5 minutes. Though glenelg were the better team, but south kept hanging on.

I only saw the first quarter of Glenelg v North (metro) and I honestly thought it was game set match. Glenelg had north on toast so I have been shocked to see the comeback by North. North did the comeback thing against sturt (successfully) earlier in the week so looks like there is a fair bit of fighting spirit in the future roosters.

The two finals are played as curtain raisers to the next two AFL matches at AAMI. The country final befoe the crows this week and the metro final before the power match next week. If anyone is going to the AFL this week, I recommend that you get there a touch earlier to watch Port v Glenelg in the finals. These U15 boys can throw on a very entertaining match.
