Ryan Willitts

Postby Rushby Hinds » Thu Jul 19, 2007 10:36 pm

Playing against Glenelg for the THIRD time this season on Sunday, will be FOUR times within a few more weeks!

Must be some sort of record, seeing all are minor round games?

And will he start a HUGE brawl again this time as well?
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Playing 4 games against a team in the minor round could only happen if the player changes clubs. (Although the World War 2 comp had the 4 teams play the others 4 times in a season)

Although Willits has played in the minor round for West from Round 1, so he can't have this unique record.

Well what I saw he gave out a harsh hip and shoulder about 5 Bay boys gave him one all in brawl started and Ryan went back and stood next to the umpire at CHF with a look of "Im not getting reported Chocko will kill me"

Looked as much an over reaction from the bays as a silly hit from Mr Willits to me

Now I realise that he is playing in the Reserves this week, I would only count League matches as a record. ;)

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

 Meanwhile Glenelg is still unbeaten this year vs the "rampaging" Magpies and the "Flagworthy" Roosters.

I remember a similar situation in about 2000 when Shane Ellen, then a crows listed South player turned out for Glenelg reserves vs port i reckon. Next year he was at Port full time.

Gotta feel for a young AFL player. Struggling to come to terms with a new AFL team and then SANFL side just getting to know your teamates names and ......off ya go to the bottom placed ressies. Would Willetts have trained with WWT?

probably not, Troy Chaplin in his games for Westies this year has got there early and introduced himself to each player and official. If Ryan was to gain anything from the hitout with them then he should do the same otherwise ring Chocko and tell him you are staying in bed

Has he qualified to play for westies in the finals?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.
