STS if you DO watch replays you will see that Nutha Lignum was not tired in fact he was kicking back on the line the winner is a poofter horse and if didnt lob behind the leader would not have been winning. Young Simon did nothing wrong by kicking away as the objective is to get the one danger on your back to go before acceptances. Do you have kids? Cause you will know this rule about going before acceptances!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

MAL, Bayman, Strutter

What ever drugs you blokes are on I'll buy as much as you can provide.

Clean the crap out of your eyes b4 you watch the replays.
Horse having first run back after little set back(cold, scr other Monday) Held the lead forced to run 1st half in 62 which is little harder than taking a sit in prevous runs, So obivous i would of thought that horse may have not sprinted a quick as recent runs.
Horse should of won. At winning post after goin 200 mts was 1 danger, Gunbarrel Straight on his back.
Why not run 30.5(maybe slower) down the back instead of 29.7 (which would of got away with, Petria in death was chased along to try an keep up, horses out wide couldn't go)
That way horse would of been jogging, Keep Petria at his wheel, Wait to top of straight, go for home buy time GS gets out and going 70mts to go wins by a min of 2 mts.
NOT THAT HARD!!!!!!!!!

You get no more prizemoney for going quickier than you have to.

leave me out of hes a junior driver theory, Hes one of the first to say how bad a person has driven, either young or old.
Bottom line People in glass houses should throw stones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes was on Nutha Lignum for some good results as it turned out (all other legs of all ups won) But opinion would be the same with no bets involved.

The try to get them to go early plan only works if its spastic aboard gunbarrel, Ryan is well aware of its sprint and its nature of not finding the line (which is why it is more likely the winner was stopping then nutha kicking back), so it wouldn't matter when Simon went Ryan would of went when he wanted to.

I'm not sure it made a difference to the result but centreman makes a very valid point why do something that is not necessary, if he waited longer his chances of winning wouldn't of decreased and they probably increased.

Welcome to the site Ponch
Good comments on debut.

Now back to Simmo and Nutha Lignum
The driver of the horse would know how the horse is going in the run
Jones has told me personally, as I am a MATE that GS was always
going to beat him the way the race transpired
Had Simmo gone earlier NL might have run 3rd and not 2nd.

LETS NOT FORGET SOMETIMES A DRIVER HAS TO DRIVE A HORSE THE WAY CONNECTIONS WANT

He is the star junior reinsman in this state and has about 100 drives for 20 wins
Thats quite a performance from a rookie.
John Crawford broke his virginity Monday after how many tries ?
Im not having a go at JC, as I hope the boy can kick on and get a few winners.
BUT JONESY has a phenominal s/rate for a junior.
Some of you guys are quick to forget Simmos drive on Nutha Lignum when
it was a outsider and won at 19/1 no t so long ago

SIMMO your a star.

You wasn't the only bloke on it and for once i was happy with the drive cause as you know i'm the first to criticise as i've been there and done that, as the connections were happy with the drive too. Yes that is correct he was in pain when the winner lobbed where it did and if you do WATCH replays the driver of the winner did come out well before he needed and this showed about 50 out where its run had ended and 3thepegs was doing the same. Never the less the're on again next week and thats where the money is!!!

agree the winner is a poofter horse - never said it wasn't, but as Centreman has pointed out why go so hard down the back, prizemoney is the same for winning in 1:58 as it is winning in 2:05 (as One Dream did tonight)

I know you and Simmo are pretty close... i'll pm you with a name that might ring a bell from a story i got told one night...

BTW - you know I have kids.. after all you have talked to me when i've been standing with them often enough...

Some of you guys are quick to forget Simmos drive on Nutha Lignum when

MAL - you might be struggling to remember things in your old age....
who was the first one to wrap up the drive on here - SCD...
so I wrap them up when the put on a good one and I say when I think they made a mistake (I said an error in judgement - I didn't say he was an incompetent like some other blokes!!)

At the end of the day you summed up the whole thing spot on correct, doesn't matter about anything else other then the trainer and owners - if they are happy - they do all the work and pay the bills...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined
