Stokes has been playing pretty average footy this year. nowhere near the impact of previous seasons

In a perfect world, they would all announce their retirements this morning, get all the plaudits from the media they deserve and play their final game at Geelong this weekend and make it a celebration of their great careers. They deserve better than being told they're done at the end of the year and missing out on that opportunity to say goodbye to the supporters. They looked very slow Friday night and I'd hate to see them struggle next year and have people remember them for their last year of footy and not their great years of footy. They deserve better than that. That's my opinion anyway.

Johnson looked frustrated at the start of this year, couldn't bend down, fumbled and it was probably a sign of a poor injury interrupted preseason, but is he really capable of lifting to another level with the rest of the competition next year? Every year the game gets faster, more demanding, when you're the other side of 30 I'm sure keeping up is hard enough, let alone getting faster again.
