Passador returned today in ressies
Rimington likewise
Hall also returned via ressies
Geddes back too today
Fairclough back after state u18 duties
Pete Fiacchi back today too in league

all pulled up ok

good to get some senior players back on the park!!

for those interested our stats recorded the in play frees (not on the full) today as WWTFC 9 Glenelg 26 not just 4 to us as mentioned in an earlier post.

The injury free day today is a welcome change, and just as important as the win.

I know you are only mucking around, but he was pointing out that the frees weren't as different (% wise) as mickyj commented on from what he heard. ;)

Thanks cd, mickyj and spelly for the info! Good news to see all those players back and get through the game. Can't wait to see Scratcher get back out there in the league team. I'm sure a win is not too far away for the ressies.

Just another thought - I don't remember seeing Pedler out there in the 2nd half? He is ok?

Agree LBT - i thought we were able to answer every challenge and the first quarter did set it up.

An earlier post gave impression was 5 to 1 Glenelgs way with frees - our stats show differently - just correcting a previous post.

Peds OK after match.

How did Batsanis go in his first game back after a few weeks off due to injury?

Good win by the team today, would have liked to have won by more after the 1st qtr, but that's football. Gives us a chance of getting the double chance. It all depends on North losing a couple more then us.

Free kicks I was just repeating what an irate Eagles fan told me . Wonder what the umps felt with the send off they got from the grandstand  My only problem with the umps was that 2 had different interpretations from the third umpire. And if my memory is right the same ump was paying frees for marking infringements and the other 2 umps it was play on .

And was Peddler removed due to his poor kicking in the first term ?

Eagles far too good. Possibly the hardest performance I have seen from any side this year. Never shirked an issue, consistently putting their bodies into contests. Niggled and pressured the Bays all day, Glenelg weren't allowed any soft posessions. Eagles had numbers at every pack and choked the play from the Bays.

Glenelg average for the first three quarters. The final term was good, but far, far too late. To lose by 21 points after a lacklustre effort is possibly the best one could expect, but really it means if they'd played full tilt from the opening bounce they might have won the damn thing.

Nice to see a game not overumpired for a change.

And a final note: I really don't mind if the WWTFC is going to let underage girls sell alcohol from their convenience stalls, but FFS somebody teach them what the damn drinks are first. A bundy and coke should NOT take 60 seconds to locate in the fridge, especially with the punter calling out "right in front of you - the can with the bear on it". Furthermore when a punter orders a bundy and coke, he doesn't mean a can of bundy and a bottle of coke. If I hadn't been undercharged by 50 cents I might have been annoyed...

I know you're a man of principle Psuedo, if you wont buy a derivative of CH3CH2OH from a caravan at the Bay you wont buy it at Pecker Park...

Great win by the boys today and it keeps our slight hopes of double chance within a sniffing distance. Let's hope we can back it up next week against the legs. God I hope so. Great game by Schwarze (5 goals) and assisted well by Salter (3 goals). C'mon boys let's keep the momentum rolling towards September.

willo in the ressies got out played by a bloke who comes upto his knees but has the heart bigger then willo could ever imagine having.

the league, the 1st 1/4 killed the chances, as mentioned the middle 1/4's were even before we started to play footy in the last 1/4.

it only appeared that we got desperate late in the game and almost snatched an unlikely victory.

the umps will poll well in our b & f this year.............
