Drug warning

Postby Dogwatcher » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:25 pm

Please read and digest. This could be one of our children, grandchildren or friends.

New form of methamphetamine (Strawberry meth or Strawberry quick) There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all need to be aware of.

There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry poprocks.

It smells like strawberry also and it is being handed out to kids in
school yards.

I'm sure it will make its way around the country if it hasn't already.

Kids are ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off
to the E.R. in dire condition.

Please instruct your children to not accept candy that looks like this
even from a friend and to take any that they may have to a teacher,
principal, etc.

Please pass this around it could save some family a lot of heartache!
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

good interview by Phil, amazed that during these benders his wife had no idea what was going on. Listened to a couple of interviews by Phil last year and obviously looking back on it now he was whacked the whole time

Looks like a shell of a man, doesn't he?

Although never physically imposing,Phil always had a bit of 'grunt' about him,all appears to be lost.

On Phil/Grinspoon,the new album let me down a little.Three crunching Grinners tracks, three ballads and a few numbers which just seem like self indulgent fillers with lyrics that appear as though Phil wrote and at no stage tried to revise, they are very sketchy.I give it 2.5 / 5.

I had the pleasure of meeting Phil at a festival a couple of years ago. Spent a lot of time back stage. Afterwards, my friend who I was with said "talk about 'coco puff face'" in reference to his physical features.
He was nice enough - but gee whiz you could tell he wasn't totally with us. Very disinterested about the whole thing. However, he did put on a great show - which I watched side of stage.

I saw last night's i/v and he does look a shell of a man. Interesting to compare his attitude to that being exuded by our favourite footballer in the west.

As for the new single. It's a piece of cr*p. I really dislike it, 'it says nothing to me' (to paraphrase one of my fave songs). Anyone notice the similarity between the guitar riff at the start and that of Bodycount's There Goes The Neighbourhood?

He was brave enough to tell all that "I was a junkie" ...I wonder if those wrods have come out of Cousin's mouth? even if its only to his team mates for his recovery he really needs to something similar to what Phil did

It is fair to say the way Cousins kept himself in shape, and has returned as quickly and effectivly as he has,I find it hard to call him a 'junkie'.

'Junkie' is a term I would use for some one who's life appears to be ruined beyond repair,IMO,not what Cousins is.

How do describe Phil Jamieson then? I think you can be a junkie for 2-3 weeks and recover...or not recover

I finished school in 2000( a public one), and i must admit that all i ever came in contact was the usual pot and booze, is it just a recent thing or have these harder drugs been prevalent for a while? If so something surely must be done. Judging by the amount of off their dial teens that i see on a weekly basis down the bay & in town i would suggest the anti-drug message is just not getting through.
